2025 Porsche Macan EV Pricing, Specs, and Release Date

by Jill Ciminillo

The Porsche Macan EV was new on the scene in 2024. It entered an already-competitive luxury SUV electric vehicle (EV) segment, going up against the likes of the Tesla Model Y, BMW iX, and Audi SQ6 e-tron. It has a lower starting price than the BMW, and while the Tesla has faster acceleration and a much lower base price, many would argue that it lacks the handling precision of the Macan EV.

2025 Porsche Macan EV Preview - summary

What’s New for the 2025 Porsche Macan EV

Since the Porsche Macan EV was all-new in 2024, you won’t see big design or content changes. However, you do see a new rear-wheel-drive (RWD) base model, with a single 355-horsepower electric motor. You also get a more performance-oriented 4S trim for this model year. It’s a 442-hp dual-motor model, which can be optioned with the torque vectoring system. Two other new items include a new Slate Gray Neo color and new 20-inch wheels.

Design

The Porsche Macan EV has a distinct Porsche brand identity, with sporty proportions and coupe-like styling. In a nod to aerodynamics, the Macan EV has air curtains below the headlight module as well as a low-slung front end to optimize air flow. True to the Porsche brand, the Macan EV also has a high level of customizability, including the pricey option of a unique “paint to sample” (PTS) exterior color as well as a choice of colored seat belts and interior trim accents. The only exterior appearance package currently avaiable is the Offroad Design Package, with a front fascia lower inlay, side blades, side skirt inlays, roof rails, and a rear diffusor inlay.

Powertrain

The base Porsche Macan EV is called the Macan Electric, and it is the only RWD model; all the other trims are all-wheel-drive (AWD). The RWD Macan Electric has the lowest horsepower rating, at 355 hp, but it also has the longest range, at 315 miles. Climbing the trim levels adds more power but reduces range. The Macan 4 Electric delivers 402 hp and gets 308 miles of range, the Macan 4S Electric delivers 509 hp and 288 miles of range, and the top-tier Macan Turbo Electric delivers 630 hp with 288 miles of range. The latter also delivers a zero-to-60-mph time of 3.1 seconds.

Interior

No matter whether you opt for the base Macan Electric or the Macan Turbo, the interior has a high level of customizability, from the color choices to the material selections. The base seating surfaces are black leather, but there are a variety of color options ranging from red to beige to purple. Eight-way power adjustable seats are standard, but you can option up into 14-way adjustable Comfort Seats or 18-way adjustable Adaptive Sport Seats. You also have heated, ventilated, and massaging seat options. Since this is an EV, you have both a trunk and a frunk, with 19.1 cubic feet for the former and 3.0 cubic feet for the latter. A sunroof is available.

Technology

The 2025 Porsche Macan EV has up to three screens: a standard 12.6-inch instrument cluster, a 10.9-inch infotainment screen, and an available 10.9-inch passenger screen. The infotainment is based on Android Automotive’s operating system (aka Google Built-In), but it is also compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay. The Porsche Communications Management comes with a voice assistant that can suggest routes and charging stops in response to a command beginning with “Hey, Porsche." The Porsche Driver Experience includes a head-up display with navigation arrows that are integrated into your real-time viewing. There is a base 10-speaker audio system in the Macan EV, but there are also two available premium audio systems: A Bose surround system or a Burmester High-End Surround Sound System.

Safety

The Porsche Macan EV comes standard with blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, 360-degree cameras, adaptive cruise control, rear parking sensors, and lane-change assist. Some cool available driver-assistance features include an augmented reality (AR) head-up display, active park assist, and active lane-keep assist.

Pricing and Release Date

The Porsche Macan EV increases horsepower and decreases range as you level up, but all trims have the capability of charging from 10 to 80% in 21 minutes via DC fast charge. Base price will be $77,295 for the RWD Macan EV, but opting for the top-tier Macan Turbo Electric rockets up to a minimum of $107,295 without any options, upgrades, or customizations. The 2025 Porsche Macan EV, and all of its trims, is on sale now.
