What’s New for the 2025 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

The E-Class was completely redesigned in 2024. For 2025, the entry-level E 350 rear-wheel-drive (RWD) sedan returns to the lineup. It’s also joined by a new AMG E 53 Hybrid, which will combine performance and efficiency. On the safety front, the E-Class also gains a new front-center airbag as standard equipment.

Design

Smooth lines and organic shapes characterize the E-Class’s styling. Though it’s pivoted away from the double-headlight design of past generations, you can still see glimpses of that legacy from the double-stacked LEDs in these headlights. The E-Class is offered in the sedan body style, as well as the All-Terrain wagon.

Powertrain

Powertrain options are broken out by trim name. The E 350 comes with a 255-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine routing power to the rear wheels, or to all four when equipped with Mercedes' 4Matic all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. The E 450 4Matic comes with a 375-horsepower turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine. The new AMG E 53 HYBRID 4Matic+ combines the same turbo-six-cylinder with an electric motor to put out 577 horsepower, which can be boosted to 604 horsepower in Race Start Mode. This top trim can get from zero to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds.
