2025 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Pricing, Specs, and Release Date

by Chris Teague

Luxury SUVs are a dime a dozen, but only a few seat seven or eight people, and even fewer offer the level of off-road capability delivered by the Jeep Grand Wagoneer. As one of the brand’s most expensive vehicles, it comes with a lively turbocharged inline-six-cylinder engine, an upscale interior, and strong towing numbers. At the same time, it’s wildly expensive and is far from the most agile option in its segment.

What’s New for the 2025 Jeep Grand Wagoneer

Jeep gave the Grand Wagoneer more horsepower for 2025, improving the new six-cylinder engine it released in 2024. The automaker also made the previously available front passenger touchscreen standard and upped the base wheel size to 22 inches.

Design

While it’s a separate model, the Grand Wagoneer shares much of its design language with the Grand Cherokee. That means an upright grille and a simple side profile with near-flat sides and large wheels. Jeep offers chrome exterior trim, and the SUV is available with a few wheel designs, depending on the configuration. That said, the Grand Wagoneer is a large, lumbering vehicle, and it looks that way. No amount of chrome or clean design can get around this SUV’s size, which is imposing from every angle.

Powertrain

The Grand Wagoneer lost its V8 engine in 2024, but the replacement six-cylinder is nothing to laugh about. It’s a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter unit, making 540 horsepower and 521 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels. While some may lament the loss of the V8, the new six-cylinder engine is more than powerful enough, and it’s surprisingly quiet and refined in operation. At the same time, the Grand Wagoneer’s standard four-wheel drive system gives it legitimate off-road capability, though its size prevents any serious four-wheeling adventures.

Interior

The Grand Wagoneer comes standard with three rows of seating and accommodations for seven passengers. Leather upholstery is standard, along with heated first- and second-row seats, ventilated and massaging front seats, and memory settings. More expensive trims add Palermo leather upholstery and ventilated second-row seats.

Technology

Jeep equips a 12-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, along with a Wi-Fi hotspot, several USB ports, SiriusXM radio, HD radio, and more. Jeep’s Uconnect 5 infotainment system is one of the more feature-rich interfaces on the market, and it’s far easier to use than most of the competing systems.

Safety

Standard safety tech includes automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warnings, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, automatic high beams, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warnings, and rear parking sensors. Jeep offers front parking sensors, a trail camera system, a head-up display, a surround-view camera, traffic-sign recognition, and intersection turning assistance.
