Jeep released the Grand Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer L a few years ago as flagship three-row family haulers, but the luxurious SUVs don’t give up on the brand’s signature rugged attitude and off-road capability. The Grand Wagoneer L sports an extended wheelbase, giving it excellent passenger and cargo space, but that extra real estate comes at the expense of maneuverability, where the Grand Wagoneer L is one of the more difficult vehicles to park in tight spots.

What’s New for the 2025 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L
The Grand Wagoneer L didn’t gain many updates for 2025, but Jeep did improve its powertrain, giving it more horsepower. The previously optional front passenger touchscreen is now standard, along with 22-inch wheels.
Design
The Grand Wagoneer and Wagoneer L share much of their basic design language with the Grand Cherokee, which brings a muscular, upright front-end design, clean sides, and tasteful chrome trim on the outside. There’s not much visual difference between the Grand Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer L, which is a good thing because the regular Grand Wagoneer is already larger in person than it appears in photos.
Powertrain
Jeep nixed the Grand Wagoneer L’s V8 engine in favor of a still-powerful twin-turbocharged 30-liter six-cylinder engine. It makes 540 horsepower and 521 pound-feet of torque and sends it to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. The only real downside with the new engine is the sound, as it lost the V8’s growl, but it’s certainly not down on power. It also offers great torque, giving the hulking Grand Wagoneer L a surprising level of off-road capability. At the same time, the SUV has a decent ride quality, though rough pavement can make it feel unsettled at times.

Interior
The Grand Wagoneer L offers three rows of seating with accommodations for seven or eight, depending on the second-row configuration. Leather upholstery is standard, along with a heated steering wheel, heated second-row seats, and massaging front seats with heating and ventilation. Higher trims add Palermo leather upholstery, ventilated second-row seats, and more.
Technology
Jeep equips a 12-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, along with a Wi-Fi hotspot, several USB ports, SiriusXM radio, HD radio, and more. Jeep’s Uconnect 5 infotainment system is one of the more feature-rich interfaces on the market, and it’s far easier to use than most of the competing systems.
Safety
Standard safety tech includes automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warnings, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, automatic high beams, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warnings, and rear parking sensors. Jeep offers front parking sensors, a trail camera system, a head-up display, a surround-view camera, traffic-sign recognition, and intersection turning assistance.

Pricing and Release Date
As of the time of this writing, the base Jeep Grand Wagoneer L starts at $96,945, which includes an expensive $2,000 destination fee. The top Obsidian trim costs $119,190, but it’s good to note that Jeep often offers incentives and discounts, depending on the region and time of year.
