Jeep brought a pickup truck back to its lineup a few years back with the introduction of the Gladiator, a Wrangler-like off-road pickup with beefy styling and a wide range of configuration options. Despite its trail-rated capability, the Gladiator remains a useful truck with up to 7,700 pounds of towing and a 1,725-pound payload rating.

What’s New for the 2025 Jeep Gladiator
Jeep ditched the manual transmission option for 2025, leaving only the eight-speed automatic in its place. The Gladiator now comes standard with power windows and door locks, and an active cabin-ventilation system is available.
Design
To the untrained eye, the Gladiator looks an awful lot like a Jeep Wrangler with a bed, but there’s more going on than that. The truck sports unique bodywork and other components not shared with the Wrangler, but it retains a high ground clearance and can be customized in a near-countless number of ways.
Powertrain
The 2025 Gladiator is offered with a single powertrain option. It’s a 3.6-liter V6 making 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque that enables a maximum towing capacity of up to 7,700 pounds when properly equipped.
Jeep offers four different four-wheel drive (4WD) systems: Command-Trac with a 2.72:1 low-range ratio, Selec-Trac, Rock-Trac part-time with a 4:1 low-range, and Rock-Trac full-time.

Interior
The five-seat Gladiator comes standard with cloth upholstery, but higher trims get leather and heated front seats. Power adjustability is a new thing for the Gladiator, and some trims come with a heated steering wheel.
While the front seats are nicely supportive and spacious, the rear bench is too upright and narrow for three adults to ride comfortably. The interior features a decent number of storage spaces, and the Gladiator’s five-foot bed offers up to 35.5 cubic feet of space.
Like the Wrangler, the Gladiator’s doors, windshield, and roof can be removed, giving it an almost completely open-air experience.
Technology
A 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, an eight-speaker audio system, SiriusXM satellite radio, and Amazon Alexa functionality are all standard on the 2025 Gladiator. Available tech includes HD radio, voice command, a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, an Alpine stereo, and more.
Jeep’s Uconnect infotainment system is one of the most feature-rich and intuitive interfaces out there. It’s responsive, and menus are laid out sensibly, which makes it much less distracting to use while driving than some competing systems.
Safety
The Gladiator hasn’t undergone complete crash-testing by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), but in a limited assessment, it received a “Poor” rating for standard front crash-prevention tech. Driver-assist features that are standard on many sedans and crossovers are also optional here.

Pricing and Release Date
As of the time of this writing, the 2025 Gladiator starts at $38,695. The mid-range Willys trim costs $45,795, and the top Mojave X model starts at $61,995.
