What’s New for the 2025 Cadillac Optiq
The Optiq is an all-new vehicle for the 2025 model year. It is built on GM’s Ultium BEV3 platform, which is shared with a number of electric vehicles, including the Chevrolet Blazer EV, the Chevrolet Equinox EV, and the Cadillac Lyriq.
Design
The Optiq’s exterior design puts efficiency first, targeting an aerodynamic profile that retains functional proportions. It is instantly recognizable as a Cadillac thanks to the vertical LED lights that frame up the front end of the vehicle. While massive grilles have been a hallmark of many new luxury vehicles over the past decade (including Cadillac's flagship Escalade), the Optiq’s grille is refreshingly svelte by comparison.
Trims for the Optiq are Sport 1, Sport 2, Luxury 1, and Luxury 2. The Optiq comes standard with 20-inch alloy wheels. The Sport 2 and Luxury 2 trims are available with 21-inch wheels.
Powertrain
The Optiq comes equipped with an 85-kWh battery powering dual electric motors in an all-wheel-drive (AWD) configuration. It makes a combined 300 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. It can also travel up to 300 miles on a single charge.
The Optiq has DC fast charging, allowing it to add up to 79 miles in just 10 minutes at a peak charging rate of 150 kW. For Level 2 charging, it can add 33 miles of range in about an hour with the standard 11.5-kW onboard charger, or up to 55 miles of range in about an hour with the available 19.2-kW onboard charger. The Optiq will also eventually be able to access the Tesla Supercharger network, with over 15,000 charging locations.

Interior
Standard features on the Cadillac Optiq include power-adjustable front seats, heated front seats, a panoramic moonroof, and wireless device charging. Available features include heated rear seats and ventilated and massaging front seats.
The Optiq provides 26 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats. With the rear seats folded, the Optiq has up to 57 cubic feet of cargo space.
Technology
The standard infotainment system across the lineup is operated via a large 33-inch screen. Unfortunately, the Optiq does not come equipped with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. The standard stereo is a 19-speaker AKG premium sound system.
Safety
The Optiq comes equipped with a number of advanced driver-assistance features, including automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and enhanced automatic parking assist. It also comes with GM’s Super Cruise semi-autonomous highway driving assistant. A head-up display is offered as an available driver-assistance feature.

Pricing and Release Date
At the time of this writing, the 2025 Cadillac Optiq has a base MSRP of $52,895 for the Sport 1 trim. Pricing for the rest of the trim lineup has not yet been announced. The Optiq’s battery is backed by an eight-year/100,000-mile warranty. Production for the 2025 Cadillac Optiq is expected to commence in the fall of 2024.
