Off-road-oriented wagons have never been the hottest-selling segment in the US, but a few automakers have stuck with the format. What’s New for the 2025 Audi A4 Allroad
The A4 Allroad got a few minor upgrades for 2025, including a new Homelink garage door opener system built into the rearview mirror. Audi also shuffled some of the available features between trims, making new features standard for some.
Design
The A4 Allroad is strikingly similar to its sedan counterpart, though it sports a lifted suspension system and a more practical wagon body. The front-end look is nearly identical, with a large grille and sharp headlights featuring unique LED daytime running lights (DRLs). The styling around the back is clean, with few badges and little clutter.
Powertrain
A single turbocharged four-cylinder engine option is available for 2025. It’s a 2.0-liter unit making 261 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. All-wheel drive (AWD) is standard, and power reaches the wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). Though it’s not advertised as a sports car, the Allroad offers stout acceleration of around 5.5 seconds from zero-60 mph. At the same time, its ground clearance and standard AWD give it a surprising level of off-road capability, though most will likely limit tough driving scenarios to snow commutes and trips to the ski mountain.
Interior
Though the A4 is on the entry-level side of Audi’s catalog, the Allroad offers a nice cabin with upscale finishes and an attractive design. The car seats five people on standard leather upholstery, and Audi offers a range of upgrades, including heated front seats, as standard. Ventilated front seats are available. Interior space is relatively generous for most seating positions, though tall adults may have to squeeze into the back row. That said, the car’s wagon shape affords decent cargo space of 24.2 cubic feet with the back seats upright.
Technology
A 10.1-inch touchscreen comes standard in the 2025 A4 Allroad, along with a 7-inch digital driver-information display. Other standard tech features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, USB inputs, 10 speakers, HD radio, and Bluetooth. Audi also offers a larger 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, and some configurations can add a Bang and Olufsen audio system.
Safety
The 2025 A4 Allroad hasn’t been crash-tested by independent safety organizations yet, but Audi equips a generous number of standard advanced driver aids. The list includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, parking sensors, automatic high beams, traffic-jam assist, and more.
Pricing and Release Date
As of the time of this writing, the 2025 Audi A4 Allroad starts at $47,600, around $3,500 more than the standard car. As with other models in the automaker’s catalog, buyers can add a number of options that drive the price higher in a hurry.
