2025 Audi A4 Pricing, Specs, and Release Date

by Chris Teague

The A4 was Audi’s entry-level sedan in the US for years before the A3 arrived. While the car gave up its position as the brand’s most affordable car, it remains a high-quality option at a mostly reasonable price. Despite its longevity, 2025 is the A4’s last model year, as Audi plans to replace it with a new A5 variant for 2026.

What’s New for the 2025 Audi A4

Audi gave the A4 more standard features for its final year on sale. The car is also available with a wider variety of options packages, though some push its price tag higher in a hurry.

Design

Though it rides on a platform shared with several Volkswagen Group vehicles, the A4 has a relatively unique look. It features a large grille with the brand’s signature four-ring logo and large air vents in the lower bumper. Audi offers a range of wheel designs, including unique wheels for the $2,350 S Line Plus Package.

Powertrain

Two powertrain options are available for the 2025 A4. The entry-level setup includes a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine making 201 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque. The upgraded 45 TFSI variant gets the same engine cranked up to 261 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. Both engines pair with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) and all-wheel drive (AWD). The extra power makes the A4 surprisingly quick, as it delivers a zero-60-mph time in the low five-second range, with some testers dipping into the high fours. That said, the base mill is no slouch, making the run to 60 mph in about 6.4 seconds.

2025 Audi A4 Preview - interior

Interior

The five-seat A4 comes standard with leather upholstery, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. More expensive models add synthetic suede and ventilated front seats. Both rows offers a good amount of legroom, though tall passengers may feel pinched in the back seat.

Technology

A 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto is standard. Audi offers a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster running its excellent Digital Cockpit system, and higher trims add SiriusXM radio, wireless phone charging, a Bang and Olufsen audio system, and more. Audi’s infotainment interface is mostly easy to use, and the display screen is bright and crisp, making it easily viewable from either of the front seats.

Safety

The new A4 hasn’t been crash-tested yet, but its predecessor missed out on an Top Safety Pick designation from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Audi equips a handful of advanced driver aids as standard, including automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane-departure alert, lane-keep assist, parking sensors, and a rearview camera. Available tech includes blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a surround-view camera system, adaptive cruise control, a head-up display, and more.
