What is the biggest rim I can go up with out rubbing.

Asked by Mar 17, 2016 at 06:15 PM about the 1987 Toyota Pickup 2 Dr STD Standard Cab SB

Question type: Car Customization

Have original 14 inch wheels on vehicle currently.  Would like to put a set of American Racing wheels on vehicle, but would like to fill wheel space a bit. Looking to go 15 or 16 inch wheels, but do not want tires to rub.

I do not recommend straying from the originally designed geometry. The reason is at high speed and on curves the truck is not designed for the higher center of gravity...and the speedometer will always be inaccurate~ best stick with what works...take chances for what "so it'd look cool?" a functional work-truck ain't supposed to look "cool"~

the best work truck is a cool work truck this is the usa even are garbage trucks can be cool .
