Has quarter tank gas

Has quarter tank of gas but keeps acting like
it's out of gas what's cause of that

Tank may not be venting properly or problem with vent/purge solenoid. Any DTCs (trouble codes)? If tank has a lot of grime and crud in it pickup can be sucking it up when you get low on fuel. Could simply be fuel pump is starting to fade, have the fuel pressure checked.
