Is that normal

Hi
I have sonata 2011 .. I open the engine cap when the car
running .. the oil spray out the engine ... is that Normal ?
Or my engine will die soon ?

That's normal, the cam is slinging oil around that's why it is essential that the oil cap is on correctly.

So no worries about the engine The old cars didn't do the same .. why !

They do when they are clean and with a good oil pump. Just not as much as you see with an overhead cam which is spinning on top of the head. More moving parts along with the oils the newer engines run, usually a light oil like 5w30 synthetic. Like water compared to molasses.

No worries about the engine. The older engines didn't do it as much as Rowefast stated, but they would still do it. The only engine that I could never get much oil to blow out of the oil cap were the rotaries, even after I hurt them bad they still just would not do it. Hope this helps clear your thoughts.

That's excellent for me I have one buyer did this and he said your engine didn't work properly and it will die soon Now I can show him evidence lol Thank you so much

You can them that any overhead cam engine will do this, even brand new ones. Dual and Quad cams seem to have more oil splash just due to more moving parts. Toyota put a splash plate in thier engines and it helps but even they do it.
