My check engine light comes on and off

Asked by Dallascb95 Dec 16, 2016 at 12:41 PM about the 2009 Volkswagen CC VR6 4Motion AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 09 VW CC Vr6 which i bought in March of 2016
and now my check engine light comes on and off every
couple days, so i took it took my mechanic, he ran the
diagnostic on it and 2 codes popped up, 1 for low air
pressure to the engine and the other was for the heated
seats, now he told to take it to the VW Dealership since i
have a bumper to bumper warranty, now i took it to the
dealership, and they ran their diagnostic on it and took 2
and a half hours tried charging me 90$ an hour( which they
didnt end up charging me) but they said there was nothing
wrong and turned the CE light off. Its been comming on and
off now for about a month and they dont want the codes
from my mechanic because they said their warranty
wouldnt cover an outside diagnostic. What should i do?
Does anyone have any idea what can be wrong? My car
runs fine there is no misses or sputters .

Take the car to another VW dealer, make sure you explain the codes you were getting before they start anything. VW are pain the A*S to work on and should be done at a VW dealership.

Ask to speak to an area manager if the new dealership fails to correct the work. There is a high chance you have carbon build up in this engine and it can mess up the flow of fuel and and the combustion, they have to remove the intake manifold and the head to clean it over a thousand dollars so they would rather ig more until warranty is gone.
