2024 Toyota Camry Reviews, Pricing & Specs

Overview
The Toyota Camry gets tweaks to its infotainment system for 2024. It is offered in five trim levels, with a sharp, futuristic design.
The Toyota Camry has grown out of its boring, “appliance-on-wheels” phase and is now a surprisingly exciting car with decent performance and standout styling. It’s available in a staggering number of configurations, and Toyota offers the car with a hybrid powertrain in the separate Camry Hybrid model.
What’s New for the 2024 Toyota Camry
The Camry enters 2024 with the only change being the removal of Amazon Alexa capability from its infotainment system. Toyota still offers the car in five main configurations, including the sporty TRD trim.
Design
The Camry’s look this generation is sharp and futuristic, and it bears little resemblance to the somewhat frumpy commuter cars from its past lives. Toyota offers several color and wheel choices, depending on the trim, and some models are available with two-tone paint. The front-end design may be too busy for some, however, as there’s a hodgepodge of grille vents and lines that don’t quite mesh together as well as Toyota had likely hoped.
Powertrain
Buyers have a choice between a spunky four-cylinder engine or a smooth V6, but neither provides the acceleration and performance the Camry’s styling projects. The inline-four makes 202 horsepower and 182 pound-feet of torque, which reaches the front or all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. The V6 delivers 301 horsepower and great torque, and it makes the Camry feel more like the sports sedan its styling implies. Toyota dialed in agreeable steering and confidence-inspiring brakes, making the Camry a pleasure to maneuver in traffic and giving it a comfortable ride on the highway.
Interior
The Camry’s interior finishes range from basic to surprisingly luxurious, depending on the trim, but the overall look is consistent across the trim lineup. Cloth upholstery comes in the base Camry models, while top trims get genuine leather. That said, there are too many hard plastics and cheap-feeling materials in all trims, especially those with higher price tags. The front bucket seats are spacious and nicely padded, but the rear bench could use a bit more shape and support.
Technology
A 7-inch touchscreen comes standard in the Camry for 2024, and higher trims get a 9-inch unit. Both displays run Toyota’s new Entune infotainment system, which is much-improved over previous iterations of the interface. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, and high trims add navigation and a JBL sound system.
Safety
Toyota equips every 2024 Camry with a generous list of driver aids, including forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and more. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, and more are available. That equipment helped the Camry earn a 2023 Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), which included a “Good” score in the updated side crash test.
Pricing
Pricing for the 2024 Toyota Camry starts at $26,420 and extends to $36,845 for the top V6 models. Toyota doesn’t offer tons of options and add-ons, so buying a specific trim is the best way to get more features and upgraded materials.
What owners say
"Overall, owners of the 2024 Toyota Camry are impressed with its smooth ride, spacious interior, and great features. Many drivers appreciate the Camry's reliability and comfort, having chosen it over previous vehicles. However, a few owners mentioned missing features such as memory seat settings and sunroofs as potential downsides."
I searched for a car with a sunroof but this car didn’t have one.
February 10, 2025Great features. Keyless entry, 2 keys provided. Wheels were in immaculate condition with zero damages. Interior was sleek. Low miles, was able to extend dealer warranty another 5 years. Agreed price was reasonable. Certified preowned is the way to go. Comparable to the ES350 in terms of cab space.
November 18, 2024Amazing car for the value. Not missing Mitch just wish Toyota changed the tan headliner lol.
