What’s New for the 2024 Honda Accord
The Honda Accord was completely redesigned for the 2023 model year. It carries over into 2024 with few to no changes.
Design
The Honda Accord boasts clean lines, minimalist headlights, and a sporty, muscular grille. There are two trims offered for the gas-only Accord: LX and EX. (The Accord Hybrid is offered in Sport, EX-L, Sport-L, and Touring trims.) Both gas variants come with 17-inch alloy wheels and LED headlights. Both trims are also available with an HPD (Honda Performance Development) Styling Package. This package adds a rear decklid spoiler, side skirts, front and rear lower spoilers, and an HPD emblem.
Powertrain
No matter which trim you select, the Honda Accord comes equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It makes 192 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque. Power is routed to the front wheels through a continuously variable transmission (CVT). EPA fuel-economy estimates for the 2024 Honda Accord are 29 mpg city, 37 highway, and 32 combined.
The 2024 Accord Hybrid combines a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with two electric motors, producing more power with more efficiency.
Interior
Standard features on the Accord LX include push-button start, remote start, automatic climate control, manually adjustable front seats, and cloth upholstery. Moving up to the EX trim adds dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a power moonroof.
The Accord’s trunk provides 16.7 cubic feet of trunk space, making it one of the largest trunks in the midsize sedan segment.
Technology
The standard infotainment setup in the 2024 Accord is an easy-to-use 7-inch touchscreen that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also includes two USB ports, Bluetooth connectivity, two front USB ports, and a 10.2-inch fully digital instrument panel. The EX swaps out the base model’s four-speaker sound system with an upgraded 180-watt, eight-speaker stereo.
Safety
The Accord comes with a helpful list of advanced driver-assistance features as part of the standard Honda Sensing technology suite. It includes including forward-collision avoidance, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian and cyclist detection, and traffic-sign recognition. It also comes standard with lane-departure warning, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control. Moving up to the EX trim adds blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
The 2024 Honda Accord is a carryover from the 2023 model, which earned a Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) with top marks in all phases of testing. It also earns a best score of “Superior” from the IIHS for its crash-prevention technology.
Pricing
At the time of this writing, the 2024 Honda Accord has a base MSRP of $27,895 for the LX trim. The EX trim has a starting price of $29,910. The HPD Styling Package can be added to either trim for an additional $2,075. The Honda Accord is backed by a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty.
