Expert review
Priced like a compact car but providing nearly as much room as a midsize sedan and the performance typical of an entry-level sport sedan, the turbocharged 2020 Kia Forte GT is one of the best-kept secrets on the market.
Hyundai owns nearly 40% of Kia, and when both companies decided to get serious about building world-class cars, they went to Germany to find design and engineering talent. Today, a decade later, that German influence is blatantly obvious in the 2020 Kia Forte GT, an affordable turbocharged sport sedan that is terrific fun to drive. Driving enthusiasts who love small, fun, cheap cars need to give this one a chance.

What owners say
"Overall, drivers really enjoy the 2020 Kia Forte for its impressive design, great value, and fun driving experience. Many love the powerful engine, smooth handling, and excellent fuel economy. However, some mentioned a few downsides, like the lack of faster acceleration compared to what they expected and a desire for a louder sound system."
I have the LXS model, this is loaded with very feature from Collison avoidance to lane assistance. Smart mode gets 41 mpg while sport mode provides nice performance at the cost of 21 mpg. Its like I have 2 cars in 1 and if the emblem said Honda or Toyota I would have easily spent 10k more
June 23, 2022The car is comfortable and moves well. The lack of fast acceleration is noticeable, but the handling is superb.
February 2, 2022Oh wow, I love this car! the forte GT model has everything you would want in a car at a fantastic price and the warranty is out of this world Kia has one of the best there is to offer. The car handles extremely well and has more speed than you really need at times and if your just a average driver that is ok your the pick up speed in any mode is great but the sport is like a rocket. I also love the sound system in this car excellent crisp sound. and the comfort of the seats are very relaxing and heated as well as cooled. you have great visibility with plenty of windows to avoid the blind spots. the out side is stunning with the color contras mine is black and red very sexy. Over all i would recommend this car as of now but I only had it for a week and so far Im in love I find my self running to the store way out of my way for no reason at all just to sit in it and listen to the music and drive.

January 19, 2021Unbelievable value. My model is the 2020 Forte GT DCT w/GT2 package. Very peppy engine that has a lot of energy. Endless safety features. Overall style is very impressive and gets compliments from everyone. Its very fun to drive. The sport exhaust sounds amazing and the turbo whistles everytime you pull away.
June 8, 2020Great quality and design features. Kia is on par with Honda and Toyota
February 15, 2020My 2020 Kia Forte is a great car with decent features. I love how smooth the ride is and how reliable of a car it is. A few things I wish were added to the car are a louder sound system and a sun roof.
November 10, 2021I love it. All the bells and whistles I didnt know i needed and it had amazing gas mileage.
July 4, 2022Great small car, get all the bells and whistles on base model! Great handling and fuel economy. I think it tops out with its competition.
March 6, 2021I’ve noticed the year model I’ve purchased has less item then the original parts model like phone charger cordless mount, factory radio with navigation, heated seat/steering wheel? Every 2020 Kia forte GT-line I see online came with better options then minds
