I really dont care that much about features. Its a fun, fast little car with plenty of storage room for its seemingly small size. I am an A/V contractor and musician so I need to haul equipment but the vast majority of my work is in town. So far, I have only used a public charging station once. The battery was down to a few percent and I wasnt sure I had enough to get home. It took under ten minutes to charge up to 50% and cost $1.50. At home, I have a 220V 40 amp outlet in my garage so thats how I recharge most of the time. It rarely takes more than three hours to charge up to full. The 110V charger that came with the car is another story,;very slow and not very practical, taking the better part of a day to recharge from 40%-50%. My one gripe about the car is it acts like a computer, sometimes requiring pushing the off button and restarting before itll let me go or restarting and turning it off again before I can walk away without it beeping at me. Bonus, the stock stereo is actually fairly good. ![]() Looking for a Used Soul EV in your area?CarGurus has 348 nationwide Soul EV listings starting at $7,897. |

2017 Kia Soul EV + FWD Review
Jordan says:
Bought this car after driving the e-Golf, Leaf and the 500e. Each had things to recommend it in the all electric space. The Fiat is a little rocket - extremely quick and great fun to drive. Unfortunately, I think a golf cart might have better cargo capacity (exaggeration, but it is a small car.) The Leaf was the quietest and had outstanding interior appointments, in addition to which they had added a solar panel on later models - my problem there was the fun-to-drive factor. Seemed to lag behind the others, although according to the stats the car has roughly the same 0-60 time as the Kia. The e-Golf was extremely easy to drive and to pull out into traffic, very solid choice and with the exception of the interior was the car that finished second in my search. Kia won out for a couple of factors. Still sufficiently fun to drive so it doesnt feel like a chore, outstanding interior appointments and features, plus it has a spectacular moon roof. Sometimes its the little things... vs2015 Volkswagen e-Golf SEL Premium
2017 Kia Soul EV + FWD winning categories:
Power
Ranked 2015 Volkswagen e-Golf SEL Premium worse.
"This was based on the acceleration after the initial start up - accelerating to get on highways, etc. The e-Golf didnt respond as quickly in my opinion. I am not sure that the car has more power, but it was more usable at the very least."
Handling
Ranked 2015 Volkswagen e-Golf SEL Premium worse.
"It has a sport steering option that tightens the handling quite a bit. Other than that, both cars handled very well." |

It a nice ride. The only drawback is when you have to make a run. Driving 70mph a full charge only lasts 1 hour. Read More
