2017 Genesis G80 Reviews, Pricing & Specs

The CarGurus verdict
From a design standpoint, the Genesis G80 is a rakishly rendered luxury automobile, but the car’s interior execution is not quite as convincing.
Last year, this car was a Hyundai. This year, this car is the 2017 Genesis G80. Does the new G80 have what it takes to compete with other midsize luxury sedans? The short answer is yes, but with an upscale brand come upscale expectations.

What owners say
"Overall, owners of the 2017 Genesis G80 are very pleased with their purchase, often highlighting its excellent value, impressive technology, and luxurious feel compared to more expensive brands like BMW and Audi. Many drivers appreciate the performance and comfort features, although some mention minor dislikes such as uncomfortable seats for long drives and a lack of certain options like a power trunk button or heated steering wheel."
The best in luxury at an unbelievable price. Comparable to the Lincoln Continental or Lexus es 350.
August 30, 2025Beautiful vehicle, comfortable ride, and plenty of power. JD Power compares this to BMW, Audi, Cadillac, and Mercedes. Definitely a good value for what you get and holds its own with the legacy luxury brands.
August 25, 2023Great luxury car for thousands less than other brands of similarly equipped vehicles.

October 5, 2021Love this car. Has nice features power & comfortable. Sporty but luxurious. The only thing I am missing is the back window sunshade screen. & heated steering wheel. But, I Love it!
December 31, 2020Lots of value for the $. The extras for the cost and that I can get a performance version for the same $
April 20, 2020Make no mistake about it. This car is luxury! The luxury legacy brands may want to take notice now. And with the recent design refresh it makes it even tougher. Ive had mine for a week so far, but I am very pleased. I am going to a keep written journal about my experiences as a Genesis owner, but for right now I couldnt be more pleased.
July 25, 2021Great car and I am impressed by the technology. Only negative is the seat is not comfortable for long periods of driving.
September 18, 2020Great car. This vehicle has all the desired features for comfort and luxury. Cant go wrong with this car.
November 10, 2021I used to drive Audis... A8s and last one was an S6... Great cars. But bang for the buck goes to the Genesis! These cars are excellent - and the cost and technology are superior! Loved my Audis... But Genesis should be a serious consideration. Love my Genesis - and it runs on regular gas!!
April 29, 2020This cars features are pretty solid if you ask me. The value of the car is really good too. I got a pretty good deal on it. I honestly wish the car had power truck button but thats just my preference. Not everyone would want that.
