Handling Ranked 2017 Toyota Prius Prime worse.
"Handling, acceleration (especially in traffic), driver controls (such as the Regen paddle) and saftey features are superior in the Volt. I waited months to be able to test drive the Volt and the Prime on the same day. 2 weeks after that test drive, I took delivery of a 2017 Volt Premier, despite the price difference."
Family Car Ranked 2017 Toyota Prius Prime better.
"Back seats are easier to access especially from one side of the car (because you dont want kids going into the street to get in and out). Cargo capacity and access is better in the Prius."

Really nice upgrade to the 2013 which we have two of. Better in just about every way-way more upscale, longer range, more power, feels a little bigger. Only complaint is the back seat headroom is tight. If youre over about 5 9, you will hit your head.

Nice car and a good value especially the ability to go over 50 miles on an electric charge. I found this to be a very nice handling car and would have purchase the car except the the difficulty my wife had in the drivers position. For a tall person you are very close to the ceiling and ultimately we purchased a C-Max Enegi which is a compromise on E mileage, but you cant drive a car that creates pain in your back.

says:
The newest Volt had great torque and was very smooth. I thought the information panels were quite confusing, but overall more info is better. Back seats were horrible for adults, but kids were OK there. More driver assist features would be good, and the EV range is lower than Id want. The exterior was pretty inoffensive, and uninspiring.

Front Seats Ranked 2017 BMW i3 94 Ah RWD with Range Extender worse.
"The drivers seat in the Volt has better padding, and hugs the driver more than the i3. The BMW is made to be a city-car, so the more bench like approach makes sense, but is a little less comfortable."
Back Seats Ranked 2017 BMW i3 94 Ah RWD with Range Extender better.
"Volt has low headroom in the back seat. i3 is much taller and has loads of headroom in the front and back.Volt really cant carry 5 adults, the backseat space isnt there."

I absolutely love this car. With an average electric range of 53 miles and then up to 335 miles on gas why wouldnt you choose this over any other electric car on the road??
