Overall:

The 911 is a marque like no other. I have driven high end Audis, BMWs, Mercedes but nothing compares to a 911 as a drivers car. The build quality, ride, precision handling are like no other. A true sports car. Personally I am a AWD fan predominantly due to my driving style but 2wd versions handle well, just need to respect the fact that the weighty engine hangs out the back, once its swinging you need to fight it back but the traction a Porsche has is incredible, unless you are pushing very hard, it behaves. Depending on the model & spec, expect to pay 80-115k. Top end for the Turbo or Turbo S models. My favorite being a Targa 4s or GTS if not the Turbo.

There is no other like 911. Audi R8 is probably a close 2nd if not equal :)

2015 Porsche 911 GT3 Coupe RWD Review
CDinMB says:
The track focused version of the all round perfect sports car. Amazingly fast and excellent handling. It punches well above its weight class on the track and still gets you to the track and home quite comfortably. My wife even likes riding in it! Not as flashy as other super cars but that can be a good thing as well. Holds its value better than most high end luxury and sports cars.

Handling Ranked 2015 Audi R8 quattro V10 Plus Coupe AWD worse.
"This car is always used as the benchmark against much more expensive cars like the 458 or 650S. If you look at published track times it usually does very well against these cars."
Would Buy Ranked 2015 Audi R8 quattro V10 Plus Coupe AWD worse.
"Value. The GT3 is cheaper with less depreciation so total cost of ownership is much less. As with most newer Porsches the car never breaks which is why they top the JD Powers quality list every year. It is a blast to drive and cheap to own."

2015 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe AWD Review
Randy says:
The 991.1 Turbo is the most impressive car I have driven to date. It is more agile and pulls harder then my Z06s, and I have had several. The fit and finish is far superior to the Corvette and the handling is similar. However, the repairs and maintenance on the Porsche are twice as much as for the Corvette at the least.
