I do not recommend Kia or its dealerships, especially Monroeville, Pa. My engine blew, door handles have fallen off, back up camera has broken twice, a couple recalls, etc. I have to deal with them again tomorrow since we were to meet their guy on Friday, but when we got there everyone was gone and place was locked. I guess I have to give this 1 star because it doesnt submit unless you do, so disregard the 1 star.

2014 Kia Sorrento Lx — Overall this is a great family vehicle. Able to move a large amount of cargo for errands and price is very reasonable. The value is head and shoulders above any competitor. Maintenance and reliability are great. Front seats do not have the leg support for taller people.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Styling, Fuel Economy, Options

Cons: Front Seats not comfortable to large person, underpowered

One Buff Turtle —

I've loved this car and will probably buy another on the other side of the Atlantic. The interior is comfortable and the cargo capacity awesome. When we put friends in the back it doesnt feel like we're banishing them to discomfort. The Kia guys did a great job maintaining the price point while eliminating the cheapness of the 2013's interior (the accent lighting is awesome). The car itself is solid, the ride quality smooth and quiet for the price. You feel like youve mastered the road while driving it, especially other cars tend to avoid you. I've never had to have this in for anything but routine maintenance and, as qualified as the son of a lifetime mechanic can be, I dont see anything popping up until the belts need changing a few years down the road. Performance-wise it's on the tight side. Having owned a slightly overpowered small car before this one, the acceleration felt sluggish but it's exactly what you expect from a V6 AWD SUV. It stops well (too quickly the first time I drove it) and handles very cleanly going down the road. I pull 26 MPG on the freeway but only 21 when the beast has to get up to speed from a stop repeatedly.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: This is a tank in the snow and has never failed to haul anything I've asked it to.

Cons: Not a tiny, agile sport car. It handles like it looks.

Not 100% Satisifed — Based on what I am experiencing so far, beginning to believe my 2011 was better. Don't like KIA's service 100% because they all seem to be looking for quick fixes / turn - arounds instead of getting to root of problem. I really don't want to go out and spend $800+ on new tires since the service dept keeps saying that's what it is. 10/29/2014 - UPDATE - the vibration was due to warped routers (at 3000+miles - that's a little scary) - covered under warranty so all is good.

Pros: I had a 2011 Sorento EX, liked it so much I got the 2014 SXL

Cons: A vibration while driving at 55 took it in for service and they balanced the tires, etc, but, stil there, now I have it in the steering wheel on occasion and while braking. - 10/29/2014 Fixed - No issues now.
