Nice Car For The Money — Overall, I"m please, love the MyLink features and of course OnStar. I have had one year and so far so good. Mileage average is 32 but on trips I have had 40. The car is quiet and easy to drive.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: I like the style of the hatchback and the versatility.  It's very quiet for a small car, cruising at 70 mph, very little wind or road noise in this class   I have the 1.4 turbo with six speed manual.

Cons: sometimes turbo lag is a problem, especially on warmer days.

Impressed So Far…. —

I have only had this car a short time, but I have to say, so far, I find (almost) nothing to dislike. I was looking for a smaller car for a commute to work and something to run errands in without running up the miles and fuel cots on my SUV. I have some orthopedic issues, so comfort was going to be a major factor for me, as well. The Sonic was the first one I drove in this class that did not give me driver fatigue after a short time. Mine did come with the heated seats (for me that’s a necessity not a vanity purchase) and a backup camera. It fits me comfortably, visibility all around is outstanding and the turbo gives it enough pop that it will really take off when I need it to. I test-drove an LT with the base engine and it was ok, but the turbo really makes a difference. Only small negatives at this point are a bit too much road noise (not unexpected) and mileage could be a little better. Plan to take it on a longer highway trip soon so I can make an honest comparison. I recommend anyone shopping for a subcompact that wants a car that feels larger and is fun to drive to put this on your test-drive list.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Comfortable, good visibility, fun to drive, MYLINK easy to sync up with my phones .

Cons: Some road noise, mileage seems a little less that expected. Having an armrest rather than a "real" console might be an issue for some buyers.
