Prius V best prius to buy way more room than a normal prius and about same MPG EPA says 44 highway 40 city. Im 63 and am so comfortable in it more than enough room. I can literally sleep in the back Im averaging 50+ if i drive efficiently. They last very long time and are very reliable. Parts are cheap so cheap to fix. buy one and never look back.

I went from a 2006 Prius to the 2012 Prius V. The ride in the V is smoother, quieter, vehicle feels heavier, more grounded. Cargo space is larger. The back seats move forward and back separately and also recline. Even though the back side windows are more streamlined, the mirrors accommodate and the visibility is good. The 2012 V with opt pkg 2 had the features most important to me: b/u camera, Bluetooth, cloth seats and smart key. The smart key feature was confusing when shopping. Key-less entry is not the same as smart key, although they are often used interchangeably in vehicle descriptions. Smart key has a chip in the door handle which allows the doors to be locked/unlocked without having the key in hand. On my opt pkg 2 only the drivers door has this chip, while my old Prius had chips in the 2 front doors and in the back hatch handle. A slight inconvenience but not a deal-breaker. One of the first things I did was change the door lock setting so that all doors unlock simultaneously. I imagine the default is to have only the drivers door unlock for safety reasons, but it is a source of frustration for me. I am very happy with my purchase, love my Prius V. Thanks CarGurus for helping me shop from home.

Great At What It Does- Much Respect — If it suits you- excellent car for the money. Very good at what it is purported to do. APPS are usefull and integration with phone is flawless once paired. Wife is very very happy with her car- very happy with the APPS available and with performance overall

Pros: Great gas milage considering the size

Cons: seats and noise levels are issues

Fantastic Car With Or Without A Family — Although the Prius V is technically a "station wagon" it certainly does not look like one. It comes off looking more like a smaller SUV or a Crossover. The design is so sleek and suburban that you really don't need to have a family to own this car. I'm a 26-year old and I use this car to pack friends in for a night out and to haul groceries back home. The cargo space is definitely bigger than some of my families' smaller SUVs. The drive is smooth and quiet. Gas mileage is fantastic - I get anywhere from 44 mpg to 56 mpg on the highway. I definitely feel in control when I drive in the city or on the highway. I love my Prius V!

Pros: Great cargo space

Cons: Pick up speed is a little slow when approaching highway

Diamond In The Rough — this car is the perfect vehicle from a practicality standpoint. Especially if you have children. my family of 5 uses it and we all love it. Buy one while they are still around. Gas prices are crushing supply. Awesome car

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: efficiency

Cons: nothing

"Alot of the times you look for a newer year model, but I happened to find the 2012 with 54000 miles less than the 2013 at the dealership, so I inquired about it. "
