Overall, Very Enjoyable To Drive — Cost of ownership is high due to trim line (VR6 4Motion Executive), which includes extensive options. Resale value appears to be high, as used listings of this make & model seems to be limited priced high. Beyond high ownership cost, car is enjoyable to drive and has been very reliable at 72,000 miles.

Pros: performance, build quality, styling

Cons: VW labor rate, periodic scheduled maintenance is expensive

Beautifully Styled 4-door Sports Coupe With Plenty Of Amenities! — This beautifully designed car drives like a sports car but with all the room and options of a much more expensive luxury car at a highly affordable price. It is turbo-charged, but you won't feel that typical pause if you ease onto the gas pedal, not stomp on it.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Superior design, marketed as a 4-door sports coupe and a whole lot of options for the money.

Cons: Wish the gas mileage was better but it is good for a 4-door sports coupe.

Mercedes Benz Twin — The only thing I didn't like is the fact it takes premium fuel, but the turbo engine requires it and I definitely appreciate that. Other than that, the vehicle is great and most people mistake it for a new Mercedes Benz.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Sporty
Fast
New
Trendy

Cons: Premium fuel

Impressive Car — I was impressed when I first drove this car. The power at acceleration and the handle. This car has a lot of space including the trunk space. this car is also a front wheel drive and does well in the snow.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great  on gas. Good gas mileage

Cons: Truly have nothing negative to say about this car.

Conditional — Honestly, although I thought of the CC as my dream car, because of all the special needs, I would rethink this purchase if I could do it over again. It can be alot of expense for the average person. And since I didn't buy it from a VW dealer, I am without an Owner's Manual to have some ideas on keeping it in good shape, which has been more than a little stressful.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Looks good inside and out, I had a fully operational sunroof added for more fun, nice stereo system, comfortable. I've had it less than a year, so I am still discovering.

Cons: The high octane gas and special maintenance specs have made it a trying experience.

Love The Looks, Comfort And Gas Mileage. Hoping For Reliability To Match. — My new family car. Wanted something sporty with enough room and comfort to take some road trips. The venerable VW 2.0L turbo has decent power and very nice low-end torque. The gas mileage on the highway is very good at 30-33 MPG (pretty good for a car this size). Would love to see the 2.0L turbo diesel in this car. Long range cruiser with about 550 mile range on the highway. Not the most comfortable thing to get in and out of due to the low-slung roof and low-to-the-ground seats. But once your inside it has a nice seating position with not-too-aggressive side bolsters that keep you in the seat without encroaching on you thigh and shoulder room. I love the overall appearance of the car. The 4-door "coupe" design favors a Mercedes CLS.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Looks great. Comfortable seats. Loving it so far. Only put 6K miles on it so, the jury is still out on overall maintenance costs and reliability.

Cons: Getting in and out is a chore. 6-speed DSG is slightly clunky around town. Upshifts to quick in Drive-mode. Forced to use Sport-mode quite a bit in town. Hoping to be able to install an upgraded ECU with a better shift control program after the warranty is out.
