2011 Toyota Venza V6Review
Great All Around Car! — I was immediately drawn to the looks and styling of the Venza! It has a superior ride and feel and the overall craftsmenship and reliability are second to none. I would not hesitate for a second to purchase another one of these cars!
Primary Use: Family transportation
Pros: This car does everything well and you never really feel like you are in an SUV. I guess since it is a Camry based vehicle, that has a lot to do with it! The storage space is nice and it is very comfortable on long trips.
Cons: Lack of third row seating and I wish the around town mileage was a little more than 19 MPG.
2011 Toyota Venza Base AWDReview
Oh, That's What A Venza Looks Like — We opted for the 4 cyl and I think we made the right choice. Yes the V6 had more power but for the 75% this car is driven in local traffic, the V6 would have been wasted. So far, impressed with Toyota's quality but we only have 2500 miles on it. I think this is a good looking car that's more wagon than crossover SUV but its ground clearance is more SUV at 8". Fuel mileage has been a little worse than expected but as noted, it's mainly around town and not traditional commuter miles. This is a family wagon so fun is not normally associated with this line of vehicle. The 19" wheels and suspension do a nice job of keeping the ride comfortable but it doesn't float.
Primary Use: Commuting to work
Pros: Room front & back, dual sunroofs, amount of options for price, very functional and easy to drive
Cons: Can't say anything sucks about it yet

vs2014 Ford Transit Connect Wagon XLT FWD with Rear Liftgate
2011 Toyota Venza Base winning categories:
Handling Ranked 2014 Ford Transit Connect Wagon XLT FWD with Rear Liftgate better.
"Venza has very numb electric power steering. You dont have road feel when you need it most, I.e. raining, snowing, loose road surfaces."
Family Car Ranked 2014 Ford Transit Connect Wagon XLT FWD with Rear Liftgate better.
"Seven seats are a big plus. That seats kids and their friend. Cargo area is much more usable. The Venza has a very rounded cargo area, so while it is decent sized, it struggles to fit up to capacity. The Transit Connect has an amazing cargo area, especially with the third row folded down. And all the seats for flat. "

Its been a great buy so far. No real issues that were not taken care of quickly enough. Not a great hadling vehicle on the negative side. On the positive, it is very spacious for a small family, great for trips, comfortable for passenges with plenty of cubbies and great seats. The v6 has more than enough power, great for dealing with traffic in congested Northeast highway traffic. And the traction and AWD systems have been fantastic through strong stors in the Adks and Vermont. The interior could be nicer, and if Toyota wanted to make it a better handling vehicle (steering feel) this thing would be great. Also the clearance is very good for it being a lifted up wagon. Over 100,000 milesin about 4 years. Has absolutely met my expectations. If you got a good deal on the numbers (somewhere near low $30s for the loaded version), you understand the value.

"The sport shift actually changes the way the transmission responds. Not as rolly around turns. To me the Outback seemed too long, I enjoy the cabin fwd set up of the Venza. "
