Interior was the most comfortable I have sat in ever, Im 65 for reference. Exterior is stylish and clearly is a Saab, upon first glance you dont know what car it is. Drives smooth, good acceleration. The only concern is repairs and maintenance, but the car itself was very cool.

Saab's Best Model — Overall I am very pleased with this car. Having replaced my 2001 9-5 I had expectations that were certainly met with this next generation model. Missing only the overhead aviation light, this model retained many of the old 9-5 features I was expecting. It is disappointing that this car didn't survive. Very fun to drive and the complements from other drivers never end.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Excellent handling, acceleration.
Sleek styling.

Cons: Lower gas mileage than my previous 2001 9-5.  Avg 24.8 MPG.
Low rear passenger headroom

My Future Collectors Item;-) — exterior styling: wow! interior styling is nice but fit and finish +choice of materials not premium quality handling quite good for such a big car, steering a bit deadish ride could be improved, seats very confortable - as in any saab engine refinement is poor, too noisy, in fact the worst diesel engine I had in 12 years (a 1999 bmw diesel was by far superior!)

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: it really stands out between the traditional exec saloons, especially now they are no longer produced

Cons: steering, interior details, engine noise

176,000 Miles And Still Going Strong — We custom ordered this 9-5 arc from Sweden in 2004 and after 176,000 it is still going strong. Mobil1 0w 40 every 5,000 miles and routine transmission fluid flushed are the key. This is a great family/sports/luxury car that has been very reliable. Only had to replace the throttle body and ignition casset. Great car and I would highly recommend it.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Reliability, power, and performance in the snow and ice

Cons: none
