Car girl love my subaru !! We own three foresters my mother and grandmother also drive them they are wonderful cars they have there quirks but for the most part one of the best cars I have ever driven Oct 13, 2024

Car has transmission issues, making a clunking doing when shifting. Dealer tried to explain it away as the exhaust being pressed up against the bottom of the car as a result of the crash it was involved in.Jul 04, 2024

I love my 2010 Subaru Forester! It’s the perfect size to accommodate adventures without being bulky or hard to maneuver. I used ittoday to transport a twin mattress and I never could have done that in my old car. My daughter is safe in the back seat and I can easily make adjustments inside to keep us comfortable. I like Subaru foresters, just not this actual car. I test drove this car and it cut off twice in the middle of the test drive. Also has strut issues. Should pay someone to take it. Mar 17, 2024

Bought new in 2010. I thought it was a lemon until I Googled 2010 subaru forester and noted mine had 0every problem listed other than blown head gasket and thats prob next. Electronics so messed up all dash lites on at all times. Cruise control doesnt work, ac, moonroof, in rainy weather just clicks and wont start. Replaced battery and cables and alternator many times. Piece of crap! I wont ever buy subaru again! It only has 118000 mi and ready for salvage.Jan 04, 2022

I bought it. The price the condition everything was amazing. Of course it doesn’t have the bells and whistle‘s being a 2010 but the car is amazing and drives like a dream. I cannot imagine comparing it to anything else because it’s that greatOct 21, 2021

Car was ok at first .... transmission is going out it seems like ....took it in had all the solenoids changed worked for a little while now it doing same thing no one in Bakersfield works on subarus except one person or a dealer I paid 800 for the repair car is nothing but problems Oct 02, 2021

This car is the best one Ive owned! Has plenty of room, many great features and a beautiful panoramic sunroof! Runs smooth and powerful. Got it at 126000 miles so I hope she stays good until at least 200000! Parked it next to my sons 2015 Nissan ....mines nicer!Sep 07, 2021

Leaking power steering rack which the dealer had to have known about, from the Monday I looked at it to when I saw it on Wednesday to buy it they removed the AC compressor without telling me. I wouldn’t have known any of this if I hadn’t taken it to a shop to have it inspected Aug 24, 2021

This is a good choice for an all-around small car with AWD. It is a 2010 that I bought after a tree fell on us as we were driving home one day in our 2004 Forester. We felt that the 2004's strenght saved our lives.Dec 01, 2012

I would have to say it's one of the most utiliarian vehicles that i've owned over the past years, this is our 3rd subaru so I can only say good things about reliability and over all performance and residual value. Best bang for your buck by any means. As for the down side I only have 1 gripe and that's the noise insulation from the road otherwise the vehicle would be perfect. Did someone say SNOW? ha!! never thought twice about going out even in a blizzard, as long as you put on snow tires, the Forester is UNSTOPPABLE!Sep 10, 2011

I looked at and drove everything in this class. I felt the Forester gave the best value for the money. It is roomy inside(I am 6'1" an don't need to have the drivers seat all the way back)The 2010 sits a few inches higher than older models and has a more small SUV look that the older "station wagon" style.
It has an ample cargo space for day to day stuff even with the rear seats up.
Good accneleration and handling on highway and city. I have drive the car just over 2000 miles already and my combined MPG is just under 25.Jun 10, 2010

A little bit of squeaking and the transmission can be sluggish. Lots of passenger/head room and dog-approved. Good gas mileage so far, well within the 20-26mpg range and closer to 26 even with city-driving.May 26, 2010

Great car for winter driving. My previous car was a Honda Pilot and this
car is a bit smaller, but more comfortable seating position. The first
thing that you notice from the interior is the view of the intercooler
intake. Very cool. The car is awesome in any sketchy weather, rain or
snow. The 2.5l boxer with the turbo is music to the ears for engine

I absolutely love the Forester in general, however I do wish you could order some of the features separately. I think the moonroof should come standard on all Forester models without having to have anything else added. The car is energetic (especially w manual transmission: I'd never buy an automatic). I love the handling and fuel economy. It is very agile and is very dependable when you need to make quick turns. Brakes work really well and stops when you need it to stop. Appearance wise, sometimes a head turner.Oct 02, 2009
