Different tire sizes front and rear
My Lexus has 225 45 17 tires on the front and 245 45 17 on the back. Is it a bad idea to put 245 width tires on all rims?

first off the car was not in good shape like it has bad cosmetic damage, damage body all over, engine make weird noise and the muffler is loud. The dealer asking price is way too expensive for those damages I mention. Dec 17, 2023

Price was high for a base model type. One tire was very low on pressure and the warning light stayed on after sales rep put air in it. Slight body damage to left rear, near where a jack would be used. These cars are dependable and at the right price, would have been worth considering. Waay over pricedJul 02, 2021

The cost of ownership of this Lexus IS 250C should be much better than its German competitors . . virtually zero cost to maintain over 3+ years other than regular (5,000 miles) oil changes and a new set of tires. I have the 2 door convertible IS350C. Great car and fun to drive. Plenty of power from the 3.5l v-6. It's on the heavy side and you feel that when cornering at high speeds. Factory Bridgestone tires are pretty grippy.Feb 14, 2013

From startup to switch off, Performs like a super car, revs like a supercar, sounds like a Lambo, Blips on the downshifts, roars on the accel off 3700 RPM, 0-100KPH 4,9 secs.
Voice activated commands, Satnav, Bluetooth, Harddrive , Mark Levinson sound, Torsen Limited slip diff, Brembo brakes,BBS Bespoke Gunmetal grey 19 inch alloys....
Negative: Sponsors the oil Barons, drinks fuel like a Vampire, has a hard ride, and on South African Potholles (Roads in South Africa consist of areas where there are no potholes), I fear for the 19 inch Tyres that are expensive to replace
20-06-2011.-Lately has increased power transmissiom to real wheels ,at full throttle at lower gears,back end is unstable, even at full throttle at 120 kph,the rear shifts, trac control esp sport,can be felt working to keep her honest.Fuel consumption lower to 9.2L per 100 km,at 120 kph,(from about 10.8 !), this at 6000 km. No mechanical issues as yet.
Cons......on rough roads (and we do have a lot) has developed an annoying rattle on drivers door wndow/mechanism . Will report back once 15000 k service done.Dec 19, 2010
