Dan says:
Surprising power and super fuel economy, averaging around 47 mpg. We use this one for road trips. A little cramped compared to the Accord. Interior not as luxurious, either. Sensitive to wind and a little tough to drive in strong cross-winds.

Best Bang For Your Buck — I bought this car in 2010 after reasearching all other alternatives. Even now, given the fuel economy, price, exterior and interior looks of the vehicle it still blows everything else out of the water. There are small downsides like hard seats and less sound deadening materials; but, it's not a luxury car. It does what it's built for. Build quality is excellent and so is the integrity of all the parts it's made of. I have had no costs associated with the replacement of parts that are not related to maintenance. Maintenance intervals are huge and cost much less than typical cars. The look and feel of the car has put it over the top for me. Compared to the only other hybrid that gets this kind of fuel economy (Prius and Prius C) this car provides the perfect amount of space for my family (Prius C does not) and the interior beats the Prius any day. The layout of the car is more conventional and you are connected to the drive components for that real car feel.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Best Value you can find for the quality and gas mileage

Cons: cabin is loud

Love It! — I have loved this car and spend so little money on gas! With the seats down we can fit 2 bicycles and 2 suitcases! It is surprisingly roomy. Lots of pick up and so nice to drive a environmentally friendly car, quite and clean for the earth. Always driving around a gang of teenagers, I need a bigger car although I hate to part with this one!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: The car gets 41.7 MPG for me.. mostly highway and I either have on the heat or the air all the time! Sporty, fun, look and lots of space in hatch trunk

Cons: If you want a huge car this is not for you!

Highly Positive — Love the Insight. Watching mileage increase helps me adjust my foot on the gas. :)> Acceleration, braking and handling are very responsive. Time will tell if the mileage is as good as advertised. So far, it's great.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: The Insight handles very well; cornering, balance on icy/snowy roads, feel very safe on the road.

Insight On Insight — I sometimes feel guilty (and sometimes smug) while driving up a steep incline and staying 'green' in the ECON mode. In the past, I wouldn't want to be behind a slower moving vehicle going up a hill - now it is me! Anymore now, I notice that it is not only me - but I know at 50+ mpg so far for vehicle lifetime - I can afford to be slow sometime. Cost of ownership so far has been fantastic - no hard add- on sells, strong record of reliability and low gas mileage costs - I look forward to owning this Insight for a long time.

Thank You, Honda For Your New Insight! — Its definitely fun to drive. No problem with handling, braking. Uphill acceleration could be a bit better, especially when car is loaded. Cost efficient: 43+mls/gallon city drive. I love interior and exterior appearance. One negative comment: back seat can fit only 2 adults comfortably, not 3.
