The Funnest Car That I Have Owned! — There seems to be a problem with the brakes lasting as well as a lot of noise from outside the car while driving. This makes it somewhat hard to hear when you are on the phone. But it handles wonderfully!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Sporty and fun with good gas mileage.

Cons: The brakes seem to go out way to often.

Minimal Expectations Required — This vehicle has a bit of zip, plenty of storage room, and massive style. The road noise destroys any comfort given in the aesthetics. Driving this vehicle could be fun, if the suspension was upgraded and there was more insulation to quiet the cabin.

Pros: Somewhat comfortable

Cons: Road noise is next to unbearable, The stereo is really old school

Nice Car For $9,000 — i bought my car 2 years old 30,000 miles about 3 months after buying (36,000 miles)my throttle body(?) went out while driving on a busy street the car just slowed down and the dash board was flashing so happy i was able to pull over. while the car was in the shop they found a few other things and i was told i needed a tune up :/ never got the tune up but after it came out the shop it was fine.

Pros: 5'0 perfect size car for me.  great sound system. loved built in house plug. back seats reclined, with back seats down nice cargo space.

Cons: ride was LOUD!!!! picked up kinda slow, something squaked when going over speed bumps,  did i say the ride was loud but turn up the nice sound system cant hear hoe loud the car is.

Great Car. — We love this car. Great daily driver with excellent gas mileage. The Uptown version which this one is, is loaded with all the goodies including upgraded sound system, power sun roof, touch screen display and 30GB hard drive enough to hold 6,700 songs.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Exceptional pickup (174hp) for a 4cyl engine; great sound system with 30GB hard drive; nice interior w/heated leather seats; 21/29mpg

Cons: None I can think of.

Love My 08 So Much I Had To Buy A 2010 When I Saw One On The Local Lot For 9,000 — great on gas, great looks, low cost of maintenance. TONS of cargo space in the car. I can fit my drum set in t back with all of my audio and mic equipment as well as my suitcase and my wife and I can comfortably drive to any shows I have. If I pack it all right I can even fit another person in the back seat.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: great on gas, great looks,  low cost of maintenance.  TONS of cargo space in the car.

Cons: not a lot of giddy -up

own an 08 caliber and love it, so when my truck went i bought a 2010. The turning radius is outstanding. The comfort on the front seat is great and there is plenty of leg and head room for someone my size at 6. Cargo area is awesome. with the fold down seats i can fit my entire drumset in the back, my sound equipment, and my luggage with no problem, and still have room for one person if i play a good enough game of Tetris. The down fall would be the power for me. it doent have as much power s I would like, and I have had problems with the CVT (transmission) in both of my calibers. Unless you get the RT, they dont do very well in the snow at all with the type of tires that go on the vehicle. I would get another Caliber, but only if it were an RT, and I would never get a continuing variable transmission again. Id get a manual transmission if I were to get another one.

Power Ranked 2010 Ford Focus SEL better.
"not sure.... on the straight aways the seem about even. I can keep up with just about anything... but you get on a hill... and the caliber drags."
Looks/Style Ranked 2010 Ford Focus SEL worse.
"The car looks more beefy, there are more curves to it. It looks to be a more muscular car."
Cargo Capacity Ranked 2010 Ford Focus SEL worse.
"being able to fold down the back seat completely and have basically the entire car if I needed it was a huge plus with the hatch.. where as with the focus, you had the trunk, and then the back seat... so if you had to haul something large you were ok with the caliber, but out of luck with the focus."
Family Car Ranked 2010 Ford Focus SEL worse.
"general seating, leg room, headroom, and cargo."
Value Ranked 2010 Ford Focus SEL worse.
"generally the calibers have run more inexpensive where I live that the ford focus."
Would Buy Ranked 2010 Ford Focus SEL worse.
"For the money I think its an all round better car. there are some things I would do differently if I were to buy another one though. I would get a manual instead of the Continuing variable transmission, and I would get the RT so I could have all wheel drive since they arent all that great in the snow"
