The car was clean and well maintained especially for a 10 year old vehicle. There was a small problem initially on the test drive but the folks at Suskis quickly replaced the MAF and everything was fine. We liked the car, the ride and the folks as Suskis so we purchased the car for our daughter.

Great Car, No Problems Whatsoever. — Good car for commuting, even better for long distances. If you are in the market for a sedan I highly recommend this car if you like the mpg and look of the mazda3. Very reliable, little maintenance required great first car.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Easy to maintain. No engine trouble at all. Good looking. Good fuel economy. Roomy for a sedan. Large trunk.

Cons: If you are looking for a 4 cylinder sedan, it is a great vehicle. No complaints.

This Is A Sporty, Affordable, Fun To Drive Car. — If you get this vehicle in the 17 inch wheel category the tires are expensive. Other than that minor detail, I absolutely love this car! The gas mileage is awesome, it zips around with plenty of power, and it looks great! I would highly recommend this vehicle!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great gas mileage and handling!

Cons: Tires are pricey.

She's Got Zoomzoom — The Mazda3 is a good reliable car. It offers tremendous versatility. It combines sporty performance, economic value, and practicality. The hatchback is spacious, and the seats are comfortable. All in all, this car is well worth the money. Performance, Reliability, Practicality all in one concise package.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Good, zippy, reliable car.  Fun to drive.

Cons: Not as powerful as the Mazdaspeed.  Duh.

I Love It. But Then Again I Would As It's Mine. — The Stereo and toys in this car rule, it so far has been pretty reliable and hopefully will stay that way. I love that I can walk up to the car and press a button to get in and also the heated windscreen and auto wiper are useful as I put the heated screen on and have a smoke while I wait for it to defrost, when it is ready the automatic wipers clean the screen.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Bose Stereo.

Cons: Fuel economy isn't great, just OK. Doesn't drink petrol but doesn't get 50 to the gallon either.

Driving Is Fun Again! —

This is the first car I've owned, and I'm very happy with it. "Zoom zoom" isn't just a catch phrase - it really is a way of life, and that shows in this wee beast. It was a rental in its previous life, but other than a few little marks here and there from regular use, it's in excellent shape. It accelerates like a bat out of hell, the brakes are excellent, and it's VERY responsive. One thing I have noticed is that there is a bit more road noise than I expected, but after doing some research, I've determined that it's probably the tires - it came to me shod with Riken tires, and those are pretty well-known for great handling but increased noise. This is one of the few cars I've driven that has actually fit me well, as far as adjusting the seat - I'm fairly short, and the CR-V I learned to drive in was NOT comfortable at all. I had to drag the seat perilously close to the wheel. There's none of that in this car - I can sit back, tilt the wheel down to where I want it, and still be able to see my instrument panel, which I couldn't in many other cars. I've also been slightly spoiled by having a set of controls for the stereo on the left side of the wheel - it's nice having those handy. The MP3 player/iPod input in the center console is a nice addition, too. My only peeve with this car came exactly a week after I got it - a recall came out for a power steering issue, and my car started exhibiting the symptoms the very next day; it lost power steering as I was trying to park at the curb. I took it in, and had the power steering pump replaced, in accordance with the recall, and there hasn't been a problem since.

Pros: It's pleasantly zippy, and makes driving fun.

Cons: The cupholders are slightly awkward - putting a large drink in one of them is asking for difficulty with the parking brake lever

Great Looks, Great Hadling, Lots Of Aftermarket Availablilty — Performance - acceleration is okay for a 2.3 non-turbo. I have a short shifter and a new suspension installed that made driving much more fun. Build Quality - It has a few squeaks and rattles in the interior but they are mostly due to an upgraded motor mount and the stiff suspension. Appearance - Interior is beautiful and the exterior is also very eye catching. I am constantly finding things to do to this car. Cost of Ownership - 25-27mpg avg. with mostly back roads and in town driving. Fun Factor - This car is extremely fun to drive. It handles very well and it turns heads wherever it goes.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Mazda handling and looks

Cons: If you want speed get a speed3, parts are expensive

It's An Excellent Car. Worth The Money. —

In terms of appearance, I find the new 2010 Mazda3 less attractive than the old 2009 Mazda3. The there too many lines on the 2010 car and the corners on the lights pertrude out too much like eyeliner on a girl. I'm not saying its bad; it's just doesn't fit my taste. In terms of performance, I am very satisfied with my 2009 Mazda 3. I love fast sports cars and super cars. However, there is such a thing as speed limit. And unless I take the car to the track, I have no place to get everything out of the car. So in my opinion it is better to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow. Thus, 156 horses is enough for getting around. The car stock suspensions are not too stiff, so the ride is very comfortable. The engine sound isn't robust like a muscle car, yet has a reasonable roar. The handling of the car is very smooth and love going around bends and turns. The response of the car is remarkable for its class. It isn't loose like a corolla and won't challenge you back like a civic. Through both corolla and civic are both well established and good cars in their own right. With regards to the interior, I am inpressed. When I realized that I couldn't afford more than a Mazda3 at the time, I wasn't too pleased. However, once I saw what the the car had to offer, I must say I'll have a tough time chosing my next car. I got the GT sport: and that included the Leather seats (and heated front ones) and steering wheel, with a 6 disk CD changer and BOSE speaker system. The acoustics are great and can handle the loudness and vibration of the sounds with driver and passengers shaking in the car simultaneously and seeing doubles of everything. I didn't get the navigation/GPS package so I can't tell you anything about it. To add to this the hatchback offers plenty of cargo space. This past July I move as well as helping my uncles and cousins move too. I was surpise how spacious it was when I dropped the back seats. I was able to carry just as much if not more compared to my uncles' camry and Grand Cherokee(NO JOKE!!!). For me this car is a perfect combination of practicality, fun, basic luxury, and getting it in black with stock 18inch rims from Mazda, classy too.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: Practical, fun, basic luxury, and classy too for a compact.

Cons: You can afford something bigger than a compact and more luxurious (and sportier, faster and more powerful).
