The 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT1 with two-wheel-drive and the standard cab seats three passengers on its 40/20/40 split-bench front seat. The front seat includes driver- and passenger-side recliners, plus a fold-down center armrest with plenty of storage space. Drivers can store additional cargo in the lockable underseat storage area that includes a power outlet.
Select Cloth seats come standard, but drivers can upgrade to optional Custom Leather seats, as well as an optional six-way power-adjustable driver's seat.
A 295-horsepower, 4.8-liter Vortec V8 engine powers the Chevy Silverado 1500 LT1. The engine links to a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission designed for smooth, quiet shifting. The transmission includes a Tow/Haul mode, which enhances performance when pulling a trailer or hauling heavy loads.
Standard features for the LT1 include power windows and door locks, remote keyless entry, a tire pressure monitor, OnStar, cruise control, and an AM/FM audio system with an MP3 input jack.
Foldaway power heated exterior rear mirrors, 17-inch chrome wheels, and a chrome grille with a chrome center bar dress up the 1500 LT1's exterior. Antilock brakes are also included.
Optional powerplants for the 1500 LT1 include a 315-horsepower 5.3-liter V8 and a 367-horsepower 6.0-liter V8 engine, as well as a FlexFuel V8. Other options include a sunroof, a power sliding rear window, and an EZ Lift Tailgate.
