vs2007 Toyota 4Runner
2007 Land Rover LR3 winning categories:
  • Power
  • Handling
  • Looks/Style
  • Front Seats
  • Back Seats
  • Cargo Capacity
  • Family Car
  • Value
  • Would Buy
Handling Ranked 2007 Toyota 4Runner worse.
"The Air suspension is amazing! Costly to maintain every 60K miles, but totally worth it. It floats on the highway no matter how rough the pavement. It has minimal body roll in the corners. It even cross-links the axles to simulate a solid axle off road."
Value Ranked 2007 Toyota 4Runner better.
"Initial cost and lower cost of ownership. In the 3 years I owned my 4runner I only ever replaced a taillight bulb. Seems to be a common story of reliability among Toyota owners."

Great Family Vehcle — This is my third Land Rover in the Discovery line, so I obviously like the vehicle. I like the feel and look of the car. It feels a bit ponderous, but it has a respectable turning radius and great power compared to the Discovery II. The interior is roomy and the sound system is exceptional.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: This car handles well and has great cargo capacity.

Cons: The gas mileage is poor, but I don't think anyone buys a V8 for the fuel economy.

A True Gentleman's Ride... — Lots of room, goes everywhere and can definitely put all of my baby's things inside. Great vehicle for a family getaway. Unless you are going for a long vacation, plenty of room for all the luggage. Very, very comfortable. Thumbs up!!!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: It's big

Cons: Can't park underground in all garages downtown.

Very Nice Family Vehicle. — Only things I don't like about this truck are poor fuel mileage and cost of repair/maintenance. Other than that, the Jag engine is amazing, the space is cavernous and the piece of mind you have that it can be driven in any climate is reassuring.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Looks, comfort, capabilities, cargo space.

Cons: Fuel mileage, cost of maintenance/repair, only one dealer.

Lr3 — I have an impossible 22.4 MPG- fueleconomy.gov quote LR3 12MPG(city) & 17MPG(motorway) In addition I have Front brush gards Running Boards and rear brush gards. I often drive to my Moutain place(ski resort) LR3 is more than capable when I take the short cuts. With Disco's still demanding up to 16,000 for the last model in 04 the LR3 is worth every penny. Plus 9,700LBS towing

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: ability

Cons: running costs

Best 4x4 7 Seater — full 7 seater, great looks, lots of extras available. needs chipping, great tow vehicle, make sure you get an auto. Electronic park brake is the weak point. This is the best 4x4 money can buy bar none, forget the rest. Oh and make sure you buy a diesel.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: nothing better

Cons: epb

For The Work You Are Too Lazy To Do Yourself — This is a "one car only" for any family small or big (7 seat version), farmer, extreme sports practice, holidays and anyone who needs to tow a boat, horse or a building... You can go anywhere in this vehicle (take the step boards off first though), it is comfortable and very pleasant to drive. Performance... 4x4's are not meant to drive like Cayennes or AMG's.. it's a mistake.. buy yourself an Audi RS6 estate car if you need space and performance. This is a purpose built vehicle, so buy it and use it for a purpose. This is the work horse, that you are probably not yourself, if you buy (and can afford) this vehicle. So it will make up for your own deficiencies.. I know... it does for me..

Pros: Space, comfort, ability, practicality

Cons: use too often for the wrong puposes (myself included)

Discovery 3 — Fully specced up with sat nav and TV. Seats a bit hard, but great for long journeys - took the family on a tour of europe for a holiday - loads of space, but performance a bit weak. Had the car for over a year now and a bit bored with it - I have am very fickle with cars!

Pros: Space, versatility, good MPG

Cons: Build quality, sticking electric handbrake and wiring loom not fixed properly

Lr3 — LOVELY... Great 4x4. Wasnt really sure I wanted to pay for it considering size and centre of gravity but then I'm glad I did. Fuel consumption aint a joke though. Second V8 I've owned but the power makes up for it. Still new on it though but I know I'd love it and I so do

Pros: POWER!

Cons: Gas
