2006 Nissan 350Z Reviews, Pricing & Specs

This is a phenomenal looking car that is much more comfortable than one would think. Of course it handles amazingly and has plenty of power, but it has been my daily driver for the past 6 years and I have never regretted that for a minute. Anyone who has ever driven one will tell you that it handles like a scalpel. I would take a Z car over any other Japanese sports car in it's class.Dec 01, 2014

I love the rush I get every time I drive this car. I have never lost a street race because this car has amazing stability, performance & balance. I can honestly say I've never broken down with this car in the 4 years I've owned it. I would definitely recommend buying a Z if you had the money for it. They are dependable cars but I'd recommend you buy it as a secondary car just for summer. It's RWD so it's terrible in the winter. Dec 19, 2013

Performance- With 387-306 HP (depending on how year and trim) and weighing around 3344 Lbs, I think this car has more than enough power for all but the most demanding car enthusiasts. Build Quality- The 350Z seems to be built quite well, my family has everything from a Ford Mustang, to several Subaru's, to a Lexus RX and I think the 350Z is built as well as any of them, I have driven many other small sports cars and this, again, feels like it is built as well as any I have driven. Appearance- This will always come down to personal taste. I think it could be styled a little more aggressively in the front but it looks very balanced. Cost Of Ownership- Using a variant of the corporate Nissan/Infiniti 3.5 V6, 350Zs are mechanically very reliable. mine has had a few small suspension issues but I do not think those are the factories fault considering I know the car had been through a interesting life before I bought it. Fun Factor- Defiantly the most "FUN" car I have Personally owned. I was going around test driving a bunch of sports cars, trying to decide what kind I would buy over the summer, I had not thought much about 350Zs, i do not know why but I had just never liked them much. I saw a convertible 350Z on a local lot and figured id take it for a spin. that changed everything, after that I was done deciding what make I wanted, it was finding the right 350Z.... I found a 2006 with only 28,000 miles and a surprisingly good automatic transmission, although the would have preferred a 6spd manual, there are not many in good shape in the area so I made a trade off, condition and miles over a little more fun. I have not once regretted buying it. every time I drive it I just have a hard time not smiling......Nov 17, 2012

Awesome handling. Quick acceleration. Brembo brakes perform wonderfully, albeit extremely expensive to repair. Surprisingly few squeaks and rattles, though their is a lot of wind noise through the windows. I love the appearance, exterior most especially. It's definitely an eye catcher. The interior is eye pleasing, well laid out, however the quality is crap. The factory paint scratches off easily, but fortunately most of the interior is easy to pull out and repaint yourself (as I did). The car gets decent gas mileage, about 20 city and 28 highway... I average 24.5mpg. Maintenance has just been the regular oil changes and filters, tire pressure/alignment. The best part about the car is the fun factor, being my first sports car, it's made a good enough impression that I won't go back to just an every day car.Jan 06, 2011

Amazing exterior looks. Interior nice, but nothing to write home about. Great gas mileage for 286 hp 3.5 liter V-6. Decent interior space, but pointless strut across hatch makes picking women up from the airport impossible :) Cost of ownership extremely low... Its a nissan with there signature engine, what can go wrong? fun factor is great! just enough power to get you arrested, but not in the blink of an eye. Jan 17, 2010

Overall, the 350Z is a well-rounded sports car and has supple refinement. It's a very good looking car, it handles better than even cars of a higher class, and it exudes an admirably sporty feel. I have no regrets, having owned it as my very first sports car. The only complaint I would have about this car is that it's really not fast enough for its own good. The 300HP V6 is silky smooth, but not powerful enough to propel the 3,400lb Z car into the performance segment it should have been in.Dec 20, 2009

Bad thing about it : Heavy weight and no turbo or S/C option brand new. Very good overall performance car ready from track from dealership. No problem up to date 25 000 km. -Looks better than a boxter for sure not to sure if better looking than cayman but for 30 000$ difference and negligible perfomance difference mine is a better choice. Basic oil change/normal servicing and gas mileage I'll put as more than average V6. Really a fun car easy to learn how to drift but expensive tires.May 28, 2009

I haved loved this car since the moment I first saw it on the new car lot!!! When I drove this Beautiful car, I had to have it. The performance is beyond perfect, acceleration, braking ,handling is beyond the other cars I had test driven and owned. I have not had any problems that needed attention or repairs. The appearance is to die for. I am often asked to drive in Parades. And the cost of ownership, I can say that I am 100% pleased. I get a big charge out of driving this car whether open road or in city. Yes I would recommend this car to the young and young at heart!!!Feb 14, 2009

The 350Z Roadster is a nice compromise between the zippy Soltice and Miata and the more refined Boxter and Z4. While it's less "refined" than the German models, it's a better optioned vehicle for the money. The rev-up VQ engine has more than enough torque and horsepower to satisfy most roadster drivers who generally prefer cruising than attacking the track. Yet, the 350ZR can certainly hold it's own against it's German competitors in the switchbacks. Jun 25, 2008
