2006 Lexus IS 350 no sound
I have a 2006 Is 350 and the radio works but there is no sound from any speakers whatsoever.It does have the mark levinson sound system so I hope I can get it working ASAP

In 2006, the IS compact sports sedan series split into two engine options, creating the IS 250 and IS 350. The IS sedan was originally introduced in 2001, and later became available as a compact wagon. For this new generation, the wagon had vanished but AWD was now available. The IS 250 was equipped with a more modest V-6, displacing just 2.5 liters. While it was the smallest Lexus engine since the original ES, it generated a substantial 204 horsepower and 185 pound feet of torque. The IS had bulked up to over 3600 pounds, as part of an effort to increase interior space, but it still sped from 0 to 60 mph in about 8 seconds. A six-speed manual transmission was standard, but a six-speed automatic was available. The IS ran best on premium fuel, and consumed it at a rate of 24/32 mpg. While the IS 250 certainly offered a stable and comfortable ride, its 204 horsepower engine left it in the dust of compact German competitors. The 350 offered considerably better performance. Lexus had revised the the interior for the new generation, to provide a fit and finish more in line with luxury expectations. The SmartAccess keyless system was included as standard equipment. A touchscreen navigation system, Bluetooth capability, back up camera, and premium Mark Levinson audio were available as options.

The IS350 is the best car i've ever owned (brands i've owned-Cadillac, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Chevy). The car has just the right balance between sport and class. I will likely stay with the Lexus/Toyota family for all vehicles moving forward!Aug 30, 2014

More than enough power to deal with everyday situations. As it is with Lexus, the build quality is exceptional. Scores high on fun factor due to its power and handling. Massive brakes and sticky brake compound provides for a very good 60 to 0 braking distance. Do not buy this car if you are too conscious on maintenance cost though.Feb 19, 2012

Not roomy enough if you have kids who still use a car seat. Overall it is a great car had very few problems since new and what did go wrong was fixed with no hassles at Sewell Lexus of Grapevine under warranty. Have not had any issues in the past three years. Jan 16, 2012

The most under-rated car in its class. I have 50,000 miles on mine and I do not have a single complaint so far.
Its not as if i drive like an old lady eighther, I have taken it to Deals Gap a few times and it is brilliant as most sports cars with the advantage of being great to frive home in the next day.Jul 28, 2010

Performance is powerful yet quiet and subtile.
Absolutely a fun car to drive with.
Way cheaper than any BMW or Mercedes Benz.

AWESOME car...the best sports sedan I have ever driven, inclucing BMW...Great acceleration and braking. Curve hugging, Beautifull styling. No repair what so ever. Only routine maintenance... Performance - quick pickup, smooth, no jerks when shifting, paddle shifting works very quick.
Build Quality -- no repairs yet, sensors on brake went haywire once.
Appearance -- really sexy in and out
Cost - 22 mpg, maintenance cost is just an oil change every 5K miles

The logo is the only way to tell the difference between an IS250 and an IS350 - unless you are behind the wheel. Then it is night and day - the IS350 is a totally different car than the anemic underpowered 250.Apr 27, 2008

I initially wanted to get the manual transmission, but went with the automatic with AWD and am SO glad that I did. This car handles amazingly well in all weather conditions and treats snow as if its asphalt, it made my trip to Vermont last year a breeze! It gets great Highway mileage (around 30mpg on trips doing between 70 and 80 mph) but if you're like me and hammer down on teh pedal around town it won't be so good (16-20mpg). I haven't really found any glaring issues thus far and really love driving this car!Feb 12, 2008

Any big problems with 06 Lexus IS 350s?
I'm looking to buy a 2006 IS 350 with around 88k miles, I would be the 4th owner and I'm wondering if there is any significant problems with this year. I've heard things about them leaking oil aswell as the water pumped needing replaced. Are the 06-09's reliable? Or do you think i should just spend a couple grand more on the 2010-12 model? Any personal experience or knowledge on these vehicles is appreciated, just don't need another money pit
