I Liked The Car Initially And Love Fitting 8 People In There — At 60,000 the timing belt broke along with 2 associated parts. At 75,000 the power steering pump broke and they also told me I need to replace the shocks, power steering fluid and that the third pressure switch is broken and needs to be replaced. Cost for this work is over $2000.00. Leather on drivers side is starting to tear and this car has been garaged and very well maintained. 2/1/2013 - made all the noted fixes last year. Now the rear engine seal is leaking and they tell me it is around a 1200.00 fix. 12/1/2013 - They told me the emissions system was failing (around 100,000 miles). Got rid of the car.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: This is a great family car and seats 8 people.  The car handles well in dry conditions.

Cons: Plastic interior scratches easily, exterior paint scratches easily, road noise/rattling.
The interior is very cheap looking.  Reliability is bad.

Best Choice For My Family — fell in love with the pilot, upgraded to a newer one. we need the space and we've look at the MDX and the Toyata Highlander. the pilot made the most sense for my family, Love how spacious it was and how the middle row was adjustable to make legs rooms for the third row. Great car, Drive very smooth. Was very impress coming from a Range Rover

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Great Suv, Perfect for a large family. Comfortable

Cons: They should be push start

Great Family Vehicle — It's a great vehicle that is safe, reliable and sturdy. We have had it for almost 10 years and it is still going strong. We hope to keep it quite a bit longer. It is dependable and would completely recommend it to others.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Excellent Family Car, Very Reliable, Handles well, Great Value

Cons: If you are traveling with 8 people, cargo space is limited.

Fn Awesome — It's a great car maybe even considered an SUV it's big but not to big. Drives like a dream and it just beautiful to look at inside and out. Every time I get in it I just want to keep driving. There seems to be no blind spots.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: It's like driving on a cloud

Cons: Gas is only 17 city 20 hwy

Its The Best In Class In Terms Of Looks , Quality And Reliability. — There is almost nothing I dislike about this car. It has so many thoughtful features and the materials are very high quality. This is the third Honda/Acura product I've owned. They've all been equally as good as this one has and all share similar attributes. American cars don't seem to share any of these traits except for a few.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: I look forward to driving this vehicle. It gives a sense of confidence and safety that few other cars give.

Cons: I really can't think of one.

Very Good Car For Any Family And Especially One With A Need To Carry More Than Two Children. — We drove our Pilot for 8 years and put 151k miles on it. It drives very well, and the seating capacity is great! The OEM tires last a long time, but their wet traction is horrible. I replaced with Michellins, and they are 10 times better. Fuel economy is good for an 8-passenger car. The reliability is typical Honda. The car never broke down or left us stranded. Repair costs are reasonable. Buy your factory parts from a Honda dealer online and save a ton of money.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Hold 8 Passengers, Good Fuel Economy for an 8 passenger vehicle, very reliable, drives well

Cons: Not much cargo room in 8 passenger configuration, OEM tires last a long time but wet traction is awefull (Michellins are much better).

Wonderful Car — Really enjoyed my pilot, but my family outgrew the vehicle, we travel a lot and needed additional space and captain chairs. Had to revert back to a minivan. The pilot is so reliable and drives well. Never had a single problem with it.

Pros: Very Reliable Car

Cons: Family has outgrown, need a van

Relibable And Dependable — I drive 25,000 a year and need a reliable vehicle and comfortable ride. The Pilot gives this to me. I only wish the MPG was just a little better. I get 20 and for what it is, that is good!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Roomy, Quiet, Smooth

Cons: Wish MPG was a little better
