I think this is close to if not the best truck you can get for the price. Very reliable, lasting several thousand miles (mine was up to 415k before she was undriveable) and definitely a great value. Highly recommended.

Neck Breaker (people Snap Their Own Necks Lookin Lol) — Engine knock.Rear drum brakes lack stopping ability to a disgusting degree. Passenger side windshield wiper doesn't completely touch the windshield. Driver side seat heater will turn on randomly and frequently by its self. Disconnected the seat heater until I get a new switch.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Big strong and classy. Comfy, luxurious and tough

Cons: Engine KNOCK. Rear drum brakes SUCK. Seat heater malfunction. Typical friggin GM, ugh

Daily Toy — I like everything about my truck, it's big enough for the whole family, looks amazing, is a blast to drive. Has a killer sound system that can be heard if you want to be. Just an overall good truck. Tony

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Excellent Truck

Cons: Nothing

Clean, In And Out — I love everything about this car! It has great power, performance and most of all, beauty to go along with the brains. If you are looking for a truck that can haul landscaping materials or a large family, this is the truck for you.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Awesome

Cons: Has a few bumps, here and there

Do Your Research. —

Looked nice. Plenty of front passenger space for a large adult. Easy to read gauges. Drove nice and rode nice. I got real world mpg of about 14. That is driving normal. Between 10 and 12 pulling a pontoon. Hwy was about 17 . If you have a large son like I do he will complain constantly about riding in the backseat of the extended cab. At around 50k miles the transmission started slipping and had to be replaced. GM has an ongoing problem with these transmissions but there is no recall. Also had rust issues. This truck was purchased new in middle TN and is not a northern truck where you might expect issues. I loved my truck but was very disappointed in it. It also had a 5.3 engine and did not have much get up and go compared to other friends trucks. I may have gotten a lemon but it really scared me off from other GM products. To be fair , I have a friend with a 2000 Chevy truck that is almost exactly the same and he has 140k on his and works it like a mule. His is a great truck and one of the reasons that I bought mine. He has had a few problems but nothing major.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Truck looked really nice

Cons: New transmission at 50,000 miles. GM would not help at all on repairs. Brake lines rusted through at 54,000.  Also had rusty spots under the bed. Front wheel bearing replaced at 40k.  This truck was driven about 7k a year. Never abused. It was my dream truck and turned out to be a nightmare.  Traded for a Ford. GMC = Get More Cash. Professional grade was anything but. When I traded my truck it had a 94 auto check score.

Great Single Person Truck — Overall the truck performed as needed without any problems. As long as regular PM is performed, it will last a long while. Good looking paint color that was dark blue, but looked black at night. The engine was quiet and the only road noise was from my all terrain tires.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: no mechanical issues

Cons: not storage space
