2006 Chevrolet Suburban Reviews, Pricing & Specs
Write a review
The 2006 Chevrolet Suburban had few changes made for 2006 in advance of a complete restyling for the 2007 model year. One addition for 2006 was the upscale LTZ trim, featuring a 6.0-liter engine and luxurious leather interior.
The standard engine is a 5.0-liter V8, while the high-end is the massive 8.1-liter V8. A third-row bench seat comes standard, as does an in-dash CD player.
Complaints about this SUV include manageability and clumsy steering.

on my 3rd one constantly upgrading to a newer model . there are smaller engines and samller SUV's that give you the same MPG why trade down in space ? this is simply the best SUV ever manufactured to date. will never buy anything elseAug 14, 2012

Very comfortable on the road, thanks to safety traction control, side air bags. The interior is very quite on the road and handling is superb in any road conditions with great visibilty since it sits higher than passenger cars. I definitely love this SUV for it's great cargo room for hauling marching band students and instruments. Definitely would recomend this family wagon to families who have children in sports or other extra school related events; since this is my second SUBURBAN for SAFETY pick also.Dec 23, 2011

We love our Suburban is great. For all the talk about gas hog SUV's, we get 16-20 MPG on this thing. I have had some issue with the parking brake - seems to bottom out now without any ability to adjust. Just about the only complain though. We've had it for 3 years now - bought with 24K miles and now 72K. Still runs perfect.Oct 21, 2011

Pretty much this car is awesome. I am able to take most of my
friends anywhere. It has a range of 600 miles, and seats 8
people. It gets an average of 16 MPG which is pretty good for
a car this size and power from the motor, which makes about
300 horses.Sep 10, 2009

My suburban has a 4 inch lift with custom suspension kit and dual exhaust which makes it look and sound awsome!! Suspension was made for off-roading, but handles fine on road too. I love driving my suburban, it makes me feel safe. I love the extras; the leather, the DVD player, the built in Nav. system....makes it a sweet ride!Jul 31, 2008
