Solid truck. Had a few of them. Be ready to do front end work between 150 and 200 k. About 2g. Be ready of course for batteries take a 2 at 700 bucks. No electrical issues like Ford. Depends what your doing with it but always check drivetrain and pm vehicle it will keep you happy

Just a all around great truck gas or diesel. They run good, ride good, plenty of power, easier to work on and parts are usually cheaper

Work Truck — 6.0 liter pulls our gooseneck horse trailer with no problem. Great transmission which does not change up and down while going up grades. Owned the truck for one year now and have had no maintenance issue. Good dependable truck and good to work with.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: Great power

Cons: Poor fuel mileage -   But it's a full size truck!

Great, Reliable And Solid Truck! — solid truck, runs perfect, interior and exterior has been well maintained. Doesn't get bad gas mileage either, just recently had the K&N Cold Air Intake installed on it which has improved the breathability and MPG of the engine. Along with the Tonneau cover which also helps on improving gas mileage.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Another great Chevy Heavy Duty truck that gets the job done but is also afforadable as an everyday driver

Cons: none

2006 Silverado 2500 Hd — Really like the reliabilty and hauling capacity. Wish i had bought a quadcab so that I could keep this truck and fit my growing family in it. I put sandbags in the bed during the winter months and get fantastic traction. Suspension is somewhat stiff, but to be expected of a HD truck. Tows like a dream and transmission is running strong as ever.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great power and visibility while driving.

Cons: Only 3 seats

Great Truck And Holds Its Resale Value — I loved it so much, that I am buying a new one. The price on this site doesn't include the price for the Diesel motor, which is a 8000 option. And a great motor that will pull anything that you can put behind it.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: 6.6 Duramax Diesel and Allison 6 speed trans

Cons: small 22 gallon fuel tank

Gonna Be Around A Long Time With Me Comfortable As Well. — Way more likes than complaints. It is a good family vehicle that works well on longer trips even though I would not say that was it's primary design purpose. Carry anything or pull it along and not suffer the loss of power, drivability, or much extra fuel like you would on a gas version. With a few smart upgrades you definitely have one bullet proof way of traveling.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: Big, reliable, and comfortable truck for the family.  Good power with room for improvements on the diesel ones.  Gotta have the towing package with huge mirrors.  Great interior.

Cons: Tiny gas tank.  Econ on fuel hurts a bit.  Stiff ride but better than most heavy duties I've rode in.
