Roadster version. Advanced for the time; aged for todays tech. Low electroics and a true drivers car. Prepare to be engaged and manage the car on a regular basis.

The Last Bmw Car With S54 B32 Engine. One Of The Best Engine Bmw Had Ever Made. — Great 3rd car perfect for a nice (quick) drive to your favorite winery. A car with one of the best BMW engines ever made. Greatly under appreciated by the masses...soon to be a modern classic! Only 3,041 made for the North American market and has a rarity value not often found with BMWs.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Styling and engine refinement.  So much power from a normally aspirated engine.

Cons: Brakes.

A Wonderfully Fast Good Weather Car. — I would recommend this car to anyone looking for a convertible sports car that wants reliability, speed, good looks, and a car that not every one has and not everyone knows how fast it is. BMW Z4s are a also great for those who want a drop top, but also want a car that can hall more that a sport coat and sunglasses.

Pros: This is a wonderfully reliable sports car. The convertible top doesn't impede into the trunk with it is down so luggage space isn't hampered when it is time to drop the top. While having 330hp this car will still get close to 30mpg on the highway.

Cons: Not a family car. Although reliable, maintenance costs on BMW M cars car be higher than an ordinary Z4.

Bmw M Roadster Is One Hot Car. — The car will become a classic collectable in the future. A real good handler that corners as if on rails, yet is has a smooth ride and handles very predictably. BMW really outdid itself when it dropped the 3 Series engine into the Z4 to create this performance car. It is head and shoulders above the standard Z4.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Outstanding handling and performance.  A lot of fun to drive!!  A great looking ride.

Cons: That I have decided to sell the car.  Have a 16 year old that I need to get a car for.

Bmw Z4m Coupe — Big power with comfort. Hey, it's a big step for me. It's got a roof! Looks ace especially with some new CSL rims. Rattle box (well one) and high servicing is not fun! What to buy next!? Something with more seats!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Looks awesome, needs some extra note! 22mpg not bad for a 3.2 340bhp car.

Cons: The rattles, crikey the rattles kill me!

2006 BMW Z4 M Roadster RWD Review
Z4 M handles amazing, lacks torque down low. Amazing car to drive on curvy roads and fun to rev out. Sounds unique like no other. Brakes are good, suspension is nice and stiff, looks are amazing with the M styling.

"The suspension is much stiffer and lower. "
Family Car Ranked 2006 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class SLK AMG 55 worse.
"The Z4 M has more leg space for the passenger and also has more trunk space in my opinion. The Z4 M was a more comfortable car. "
