Most Elegant Suv On The Market — A VW Touareg is actually the same car as the Porche Cayene. It's a sports car with luxury interior and safety of a SUV. I would say it's a dream car: big but easy to drive. You feel like in a Mini or something very close to the ground, not in a SUV. After driving this car it would be very difficult to pick a different car if I have to.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Elegant but sturdy

Cons: Gas hungry

The Car That Does It All And Is Fun Too. — Not your mom's SUV, although it could be is she was a cool mom. It is a fun, unique, and well-built vehicle. VW's premier vehicle feels like something special from the moment you get behind the wheel. It handles better than most domestic cars half its size, and provides the utility of an SUV. The Germans just cannot be beat with this one.

Pros: Amazing road manners. Tight handling for a large vehicle. Comfortable, yet fun and purposeful. Great engine. Great exhaust note. Rock solid, and safe. Reliable and unique.

Cons: City MPG could be better.

Awesome Style / Crazy German Engineering — Touareg has a great style. It is very ergonomic and comfortable to drive. It goes everywhere you want it to go and fits inside everything you want. However, it drinks gas like crazy. The cost of maintenance is high. All the sensors inside the car, which should make my life easier, are driving me insane. If I had another option I would go with it.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: I like the way it looks as well as the ride itself. It is great on pavement and very capable off road.

Cons: I hate the cost of repairs on this car.

This Is The Best Suv I Have Ever Driven... Looking For Another One. — If you are looking for an SUV that kicks some serious booty... this is the one for you. The thing about this car is that, even though it is a V6, the sport mode really makes the difference. It's a great car!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Comfort and Best Drive

Cons: Gas

2005 Volkwagen Touareg — This car handled great, the acceleration in sport mode with the V8 was amazing, on line with my old 280Z and better than my bmw 530i. One of my few complaints were the navigation system was by far the worst of 4 I ever owned. The programming of it was just terrible. I tried to call Len Hunt, the VP in charge of it, but I was told "he doesn't talk to consumers". It is amazing what these guys make being that stupid. My other issue was after 60K the infamous rattles and noises started and everything I had fixed was so much more expensive than it should have been. Oil changes at the dealership were $150.00. Gas mileage was terrible - 13 mpg. I can tell you the car was a lot of fun to drive.

Pros: handling, acceleration with V8, fun factor

Cons: navigation system, gas mileage, repair expense

Amanda's Touareg — looks like an suv drives like a sports/luxury car:) unlike a honda pilot can a take a curve at 50 mph rather then 10 and still not feel like its going to flip its awesome!!!Gets lots of attention from corvettes, bmws and mustang..it turns heads:)

Pros: its mine

Cons: its not a v10

My T — Ultimate luxury and awsome off road capabilities, 2.5 a little sluggish off the mark but hauls once it gets going and superchipped. Ideal would be the V10 but todays feul costs make it impractable.Boot space is a little limited but ample,Maintenance and servicing is what you would expect from VW, very competitive.

Pros: off road and on road driving pleasure

Cons: I want a bigger engine

Vw Touareg V6 — Good looking car, especially with the 22" alloys and body kit I have. I love looking at it. Air suspension is good, acceleration is not, but it is a heavy car for a 3.2l engine. Drivetrain failed after 32,000km, not good. interior styling is modern and appealing. I like the little touches like keyless entry and start, automatic lights and wipers and height control.

Pros: drive, looks

Cons: acceleration
