I Should Have Never Bought This Truck, Waste Of Money, Time And Energy. — 6 months after i purchased this truck i came across the strangest loose play in the steering column i had ever felt, almost seemed like the rack was destroyed. Turns out i slipped a belt in my brand new tires, so i replaced them and it happened again, and again, and again. After 6 months of owning this truck i have probably invested half the cost of the truck in tires. Think its a chamber or alignment issue? Nope, its just a Ford Truck that loves to shake :-) I wont get into my other details, lets just add this. **Ford engineering** "Hey, Lets put that fuel pump module in a plastic case up underneath the bed of the truck by the rear tires" Dont even get me started...lol

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Looks like a great vehicle and has the power you need to move and tow things around.

Cons: I cant think of a single circuit or part which has not went out in this truck. If you love spending your weekends working on your truck then i guess its the perfect vehicle for you.

Black Beauty — This is the most inviting interior cabin for a truck I have seem, Ford motors really put their work in stepping up their game on this one. All the luscious fell of a luxury automobile, the four doors and entertainment center make it a joy on either short or long trips. What a family vehicle.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Very Stylish nice looking interior

Cons: Not the greatest in fuel category

Head Turner Of A 2005 Fx4 — I love my truck. great looks and very dependable. Averages 15MPG... up to 18-20 MPG on the highway. Front leveling kit really sets this truck apart... looks aggressive, but not way out there! 20" rims and wide multi-surface tires also set it apart. Tires are NOT noisy.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: Great all-around light utility truck.

    Cons: Smallish back seat area.

Great Truck! — We have had this truck for 5 years and have had very few problems with it. I think in the 5 years we've had it, it's only been in the shop once or twice. My husband loves this truck and in the future will definitely purchase another for...most likely an F250

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: roomy, lots of power, great for towing, great work truck

Workin' Mans Truck. — I just like the feel of this truck on the road. Seems to be tight and strong. The 4.6 is a little underpowered, but it does the work I need it for. Like the looks too with oversize tires, it sits up high and rides good. Also like the fact that Ford didn't need a government (taxpayer) bailout to stay in business. That says a lot about the company.

Pros: Love the sturdy feel of this truck. Runs strong.  I think its the toughest truck on the market.

Cons: Changing the plugs on these trucks is a chore,  but it doesn't have to be done that often, so I can deal with it.

Good Price For What You Get — I love the full 4 doors. Has been a godsend w 2 kids in car seats. Big enough for 4 adults and 2 kids. Tows a 19 ft camper adequately but needs more power. 4.8L engine struggles up grades that others fly by us. Cloth seats easily stained with young children and showing wear on seats.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: 4 door 4wd, great family truck

Cons: Lots of road noise, 4.8L engine has little power while towing
