2005 was the last model year for the Chevrolet Blazer: the midsize sport-utility wagon was discontinued in favor of the newer Equinox. Still, the '05 Blazer sold well, probably to longtime fans of the line who appreciated its sturdy maneuverability and low sticker price.
The 2005 Chevy Blazer was offered in only one trim, the LS, and in two-door and four-door options (though most of the four-door Blazers went to fulfill existing commercial fleet contracts). Four-wheel drive was an option in both bodystyles.
With a passenger capacity of just four adults, the '05 Chevrolet Blazer had less seating than most of the other SUV models available at its size. The old-school styling and lack of creature comforts also didn't make it a favorite with suburban drivers looking for a touch of luxury.
But some still valued the 2005 Blazer for its sturdy truck platform and its rugged heft. Like its cousins Chevy's pickup lines, the '05 Chevy Blazer offered rugged durability. Under the hood, the Blazer boasted a 4.3 liter V6 engine with 190 horsepower and 250 lb.-ft. of torque.
The Chevrolet Blazer is still mourned by off-road addicts, who love its high suspension and 4WD toughness. Tuners liked it, too; you'll see plenty of project trucks and high-riders based on the Blazer.

This car has been good to. It 2 doors which makes it a bit smaller therefore quite easy to park. I has a great turning radius for tight U-turns. Extremely easy to see all sides when reverse parking. Most importantly, it drives very well and stops like it should.Dec 26, 2013

gr8 vehicle......comfy to drive and has been 100% reliable fuel economy isnt that gr8 but overall it has been the best vehicle ive ever bought... only other thing is the back hatch button has been a pain dirt and grit gets in so button sticks had to replace 3 timesNov 25, 2011

this is a powerful SUV they are really nice to look at.
they can be jacked up to look even better with 34" tires that looks really nice

The same thing that was wrong or right with my car before, that is what i still think of it. So painted, renewed, changed, or if any part of the car is changed it's still gonna be the same, because the engine itself is not changed.
Another thing in the car is that it is so costly, that you will feel like buying more.

ever since my father bought the truck everyone loved it the 5 speed trans mission was great for offroading and fuel economy there's just one thing that i would suggest is getting a tire rack for that full size spare in the back it saves a bit more room. Aug 14, 2009

It was a good price for a 4 WD vehicle. A pedestrian vehicle with ony 2 doors makes it difficult for a family. Yet,it is a decent vehicle to drive to work especially when we have snow. The build quality is fair but the dorrs squeeked after the first year. Thee has always been a highway vibration at about 120 kms, regardless if the wheels were balanced. There has been no major repairs. At 120000kms it has required, 1 tie rod, (warranty), a battery, new tires.Nov 27, 2008

The Chevy blazer is a well built suv. I wouldnt trade it in for the world. It is big enough for the kids in the back and the animals in a crate. The performance is great. 4 wheeling is good. It is great in the snow and mud. I love it!!Aug 29, 2008

Another poorly built Chev. Noticed it was dog tracking and the hubs weren't unlocking when it was cold out (this is the wife's vehicle). Took it to the dealer - hubs don't unlock for a while when cold 'cause they're vacuum operated, and truck dog tracks 'cause that's the way they are made. What a bunch of crap!Mar 29, 2008
