2004 Lexus IS 300 Sedan RWDReview

Black Beauty — This is one of the best cars I have owned. It is such a fun car to drive. The performance is a little above average for a 4 door since it has the 2jz ge engine in it from a supra just non turbo. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: my wheels Cons: the open differential |

I Like The Car, Its The Second One I Have Had — Yes there are better cars out there, but its the best bang for the buck. Its not overly large or heavey. its Total Cost of Ownership is reasonable. It is a fun car to drive through the canyons and hills Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: great handling, good pick up nice ride quality Cons: It could use a little more power out of the box. |

Is 300 Drive? — Can't say too much about the car since I've only driven it several times. The IS 300 has a nice power kick to it. Put your foot down a bit and it will go, just give it time to get there. The turning speed is great with the suspension. The Lexus had upgraded shocks/springs and wider tires so it stuck stiff at quick turns. My only concern or negative view on the car was the e- shifting. Changing gears are on the steering wheel was something I did not enjoy. making turns and changing gears isn't the easiest thing to do Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Great look, smooth ride, quick car Cons: E-Shifting button location |

Is300 Review — great car great handling and exceptional reliability. would like a bit more power stock but with few upgrades it can become a very fast car. the car is also very fun to drive and with the equipped torsen limited slip diff it makes going around corners very fun. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: engine and drive train Cons: needs a sixth gear |

Comfortable, Plush Smooth With A Bite If Pushed — Fun to drift around with due to the rear propulsion and the limited slip differential. Comfortable, handles well, safe & well built. Reliability-wise, nothing to say=TOYOTA. Sonds awesome with the right exhaust system. Long live the inline-6 2JZ engine ! Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Fun sedan to drive alone or full of people Cons: Can easily get out of hand= TICKETS |

Modded Is 300 — I have a 2004 Lexus IS300. Graphite gray in color with some modifications. I have an ACT stage 3 clutch and pressure plate with a Fidanza flywheel. It also has a megan racing header, downpipe, with an Apexi N1 Catback exhaust system. Clear reverse lights with a full D2 coilover suspension system and 18 inch Enkei Racing wheels. I absolutely love it but will continue to make it better. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Performance, Handling, and overall look of the car Cons: Expensive and addicting habit |
2004 Lexus IS 300 SportCross Wagon RWDReview

2004 Lexus Is300 Sportcross — First of all I should point out that I have a passion for sport wagons. The sportcross handles great thanks to a great weight distribution and a front engine - rear wheel drive setup. The standard near racing low profile tires are incredible on dry tarmac but are out right scary in rainy weather or any other slick surface. Performance is my only problem with this car. Sure it can do 0-60 in under 7 seconds if you have a manual and you change gears like a maniac but in reality Toyota should have shoved the Twin Turbo from the Supra into the IS. However a cold air intake and maybe an after market Turbo and the IS could stand head to head with the same year M3s. Also that extra boast will justify quite a bad fuel economy, it gets from 12 to 16 mpg in heavy stop and go traffic with the occasional Boxter and Mustang lights race and up to 32 mpg with good 65-75 mph cruise. It is suppose to take only premium gas but you can throw Reg or Mid grade once in a while if that is much cheaper, but don't make it a habit. Pros: Amazing looks, ride quality and build quality, great performance and handling. Lots of Fun. Cons: Bad fuel economy, under powered without after market tunning, not a huge amount of rear legroom. |

04 Is300 — Performance wise this car out of the box is alright... its quick enough for around town handles great, if you want to be faster dont mess around with the NA modifications... just save up for a turbo (its well worth the wait) i will update my review once the turbo is installed on my car... Build quality is excellent no rattles etc materials inside the car feel top notch... Appearance- this car gets compliments left and right at gas stations etc gas mileage is alright 20 in the city and about 24ish on the highway on premium...maintenance cost isnt too much since my car is under warranty 5 years 100k (i have 22k on my car as of now) and so far after a year everything is working fine... over all its a really fun car to drive... Pros: great looks and handling very reliable Cons: could be a little quicker... nothing a turbo cant do :) |

Sexi Lexi — I like my car alot almost love it, not quite though. It has the 2JZGE engine so it does have good power and is smooth as ever, which i do appriciate just coming out of a 330i. I love how the seats have the contrast piping, and the Mark Levinson audio is better than most of the sound systems in the MB cars which are pretty good. Gas mileage sucks, but it comes with the territory i guess. Pros: Looks, Aftermarker support Cons: gas mileage, maint. costs |
