The longer it was made beyond 2005 the worse it got, but those early 2003-2005 models were exemplary. When revised all plastic and ugly as can be-the styling, suspension, engine sophistication of the early ones was spot-on perfection. They lasted on duty, went for years and years. Wish to God could buy a new 2004 Lincoln Aviator Premium special ordered with the with the flat middle seat, tow package, deep blue/white interior...and that set of rims they were issued with, would pay $90,000 in a heartbeat.

2003 Lincoln Aviator Review
The 2003 Lincoln Aviator is very similar to the 2003 Ford Explorer, however the Lincoln Aviator is a bit more luxurious than the Ford Explorer. The 2003 Lincoln Aviator is a very comfortable ride, even in the back seats.

Nice Handling And Comfort — I like feeling safe and in control with this powerful ride, while enjoying comfort and style. This car is great for both road trips and commuting around town with guests. I am able to rely on this cars acceleration when needed, plus cargo room. It is fun to drive.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Very comfortable ride. Best I ever had. Luckily this transmission has been replaced; therefore saving thousands of dollars on a potential major repair.

Cons: Transmissions on this model tend to go out between 100,000 -120,000 miles.

Fabulous! — We truly enjoyed this automobile... it's stylish yet practical family vehicle. You will love to take this truck to the ball games and take all the kids along with their friends. They will be entertained by watching a movie in the backseat.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Handles beautiful and it looks great!

Perfect Transportation For Long Trips And Larger Families. — This is a luxury automobile and it should be taken care as such. You can take it to a nice restaurant and/or the mountains and will not be sorry with its performance. It handles beautifully in the snow! It's not oversize so you can park anywhere!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Vehicle looks great on the road and you're seated high up enough to access the road from a better perspective. It's a smooth ride and minimal noise level is heard inside the vehicle.

Cons: None.  We loved it.

Looks Nice, Get Your Wallet Out — Looks good, but if your not mechanically inclined, it will cost you a lot of money. Engine could be designed better so the spark plugs do blow out. Gives a great ride and looks great on 22" tires and rims.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Looks Good

Cons: Cost of Ownership

I owned a 2004 Lin old aviator for 7 years and I can personally compare it to every vehicle on the planet In the suv family from the expedition, Escalade, hummer, explorer, the style is in a class by itself. The luxury look is so great people will take a second look when they pull next to you. I also have yet to have any motorcycle or suv not want to try unfortunately the list of vehicles in the rear view mirror are many
