Great Suv And Is Well Rounded For All Driving Activities — been a great suv. really reliable and drives great. 4.0L V6 gets good gas milage. Has had only one fit and finish problem with the console lid. I think it looks great inside and out! Friends dislike getting into the back seat as it is a 2 door.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Relaible, Sporty, Fun to Drive and I haven't seen to many of them

Cons: Gas can be expensive and back seat is a little tricky to access

Acceleration — it's the best ford suv, because brings a 4.0l engine, the top speed its limitated to 140km/h but the acceleration is so agresive, it's very confortable to drive and, in off road tracks it has a very good response.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: confort

Cons: handling

I Need A Car That I Can Depend On And Right Now With My Explorer Sport I Can Not — This is my second Ford Explorer Sport and I like the looks and the confindence of the ride in snow but I do not like the stalling I am having now.

2003 Ford Explorer Sport XLS Review
James says:
Sporty family car (if you have small kids), better for a guy who likes a sporty truck but needs leg room. with only 2 doors it is not the wanna be minivan. The 4.0 gives plenty of power and if properly maintained it should last well over 200,000 miles. The 5 speed manual is for those guys who really like more control and driving experience, and seems to hold up better than the exploder auto tranny. Rust is an issue under the doors and trim.

Front Seats Ranked 2006 Ford Ranger XL 2 Door RWD worse.
"the front seat have more options to lean back and seem more comfortable than the Ranger"
Family Car Ranked 2006 Ford Ranger XL 2 Door RWD worse.
"two adults in a ranger is full up, try to get a child or two with mom and dad, impossible. Explorer 2 dr is nice because kids (in no way shape or form) cannot open the rear door. It will be a pain to get car seats in for toddlers, but 10-16 year olds will be fine and room for groceries in the back without everything going every where in an open pickup bed. "
