Very Clean Truck. — I like the room and the ride. I could easily load my kids and grandchildren with the third row seating and the heat and ac in the rear make it comfortable for everyone. The sound system is excellent and only 6 months old, I have always been a stickler for quality sound playing my music, make the ride much better.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Very nice SUV, lots of room.

Cons: Nothing I don't like about it.

Excellent Utility Vehicle — Excellent utility vehicle for the money invested, with plenty of interior room, nicely equipped, good looking and comfortable, One of the best SUV's in the market for sure, especially considering the return of investment. I would recommend it and buy another one, without a doubt.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Value for the money

Cons: City mileage

Great Overall Suv — Great vehicle for anyone who lives out in the country and has issues in the winter months with un-plowed roads and ice. Gas mileage is awful (13-16) but overall is a great value Sport Utility Vehicle for the price.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Plenty of interior space. Drives Like a truck, unstoppable in the snow

Cons: Horrible gas mileage, rough ride.

I Like It Just Fine — I went from a Suzuki sidekick to this Ford Explorer when I ran out of room for kids and stuff. I like the room in the Explorer and have had no major issues with it. Other than routine maintenance the only issue I have had is to replace the ball joints and the front bearing assembly. All stuff done at home with my shade tree mechanics.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Roomy, easy to drive, does well in bad weather

Cons: gas mileage

Its Just Ok — box like, abs light comes on all the time when accelerating on the highway. accessing the third row is a pain. it has a v6 but it consumes gas like a v8 without the power of the v8. It is just for transporting things.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: not much

Cons: too many

Great Car For Family — car served me well over the years, great on the road, handles well for a larger vehicle, no major repairs in the eight years that I have owned this truck, this is a much more versatile and durable than a mini-van or a crossover

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: drives great for long road trips, lots of room, great in snow, very durable

Cons: gas mileage not the best, limited towing capacity

Good Suv Choice — Overall the Explorer is a great SUV, however I strongly disagree with U-Haul's decision to ban the Ford Explorer from pulling it's rental trailers. The Mercury Mountaineer has the exact same chassis, wheel base etc, it's basically the exact same vehicle yet they don't ban the Mountaineer.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Reliable, comfortable, low maintenance

Cons: Gas mileage

Great Car. — Didn't really have this truck for very long. Every thing on this truck felt confidante. A really joy drive. Acceleration was great on it as well as handling. Mileage on it was better than expected. Had to replace the alternator while I owned it and was a pretty inexpensive part.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Basic SUV. Great cargo room. Nice maneuverability. Great mileage.

Cons: No real complaints. Like I said, didn't really have it long enough.
