Cute & Affordable Little Neon — It burns a good bit of gas for a little sedan. I like that it's still youthful and fun in style, the dash is plain & boring. like that my model/make has carseat belt and little hooks to clip & secure my children's car seat much better than with a standard seatbelt.

Pros: decent gas milage, sporty & youthful, decent sized interior and truck for a sporty sedan.

Cons: very low to the ground and can scrap the road if you're not careful on inclines and declines.

2003 Dodge Neon Sxt — Please see Pros and Cons. I really like it because it gives you good MPG and was a perfect car as a college student. Did not have much cargo space, but enough to keep golf bags, clothes, etc. 5 CD inserts served me well as a huge music person.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: High mileage, easy to drive
High way cruise control
Compact
Everything works and it looks like a sports car

Cons: Could replace one of the headlights for brightness but I did not see the need.
Minor leak in oil so you will have to add oil when it's level gets low.

Good Buy — I like that it is red and has a spoiler. It has good acceleration and runs really smooth. The interiors are really great - red and black, instead of the beige that is so commonly found in used cars. In addition it is fuel efficient. 22-24 miles in the city per gallon.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Runs smoothly.

Cons: Slightly damaged on one side. Aesthetic damage.

Greay — its a really fuel saver and great in mileage. Has been used for work and back home new paint not more than 6months old in the paint and great maintainance. althought it is not power locks and windows, it is great for a first car and also for a new driver.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: New paint and great maintanance, very good handling and great fuel saver

Cons: not electronic control window or locks

250,000 Miles And No Major Repairs — I went with the smaller engine & non-turbo to try to avoid the "sports car" hit on my insurance. Because it is a stick even though I wanted it for the mpg I still got tagged for the sports car increase. 250,000 miles and no major repairs, good gas mileage, paint has held up well, quick off the line w/ the stick in the 2.0L. Drives & handles well, best tire wear is to use the pressure listed on the tires not the ones in the door/owners manual. I can get 65k out of 60k tires using the tire pressure but only 50k if I use the door. Using the door pressure also reduces the mpg by 15-20%. I usually get 32-36mpg but with the factory pressures I am lucky to get 28.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: 250,000 miles and no major repairs, good gas mileage, paint has held up well, quick off the line w/ the stick in the 2.0L

Cons: seats could be more supportive, not enough room in back seats for adult men without their knees in their chests, cabin noise is noticeable at highway speeds

Bottom Line I Absolutely Love My Car!! — the acceleration on this car is instant, and the body of the car and the interior of the car is excellent. it is so much fun to drive and to go places in the car! the gas milage is great its only at max 30 bucks to fill and it lasts two weeks because i drive a lot at least 20miles a day at max 28miles a day.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: everything about this car is awesome!

Cons: nothing sucks

Perfect For Girls! — The only thing I dont like about this car, is that the acceleration aint good but that is because it's a 4cyl. The interior is beautiful, black on black. so when i put my tweety in it! Tweety popped!! Great on Mileage!!!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great on Mileage!!!!

Cons: It isn't a fast car.

Its A Fun Car To Drive — I thought the acceleration on it was great for an automatic, stock car i can keep up and even beat a few 6 cylinders. the breaking could of been better but i was cheap and always used the cheap pads. the handling was average and i would say the build quality too never really had any major issues with the repairs just regularly changed the oil but used mobile 1 fully synthetic i think that helps alot for keeping the engine in tip top condition my neon has 140k on it and is still running strong and is pretty quite i think as well

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: its good on gas

Cons: no power windows for the back seats

Good Starting Point — Basically it works, starts when I need it to, gets me from point A to point B. It is cheap to own, low insurance, low maintenance, easy to work on. I find it fun to drive, for what it is.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Gas Mileage

Cons: Not sure

Neon — If you bought this car you didn't but it for being the fastest car out there. Although you can fix it up to be considerably quick for not too much out the pocket. Its a really easily maintained vehicle that if you keep up with can last a while. In my opinion it looks pretty good. At most depending on which package you got you'll need an upgrade in the wheels area of the car. The gas is excellent and everything is good. It's a very fun car to drive. This was my first car bought brand new off the lot.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: fun and family

Cons: not too fast
