2002 Subaru Outback H6-3.0 VDC WagonReview

It's Just An Awesome Car. — Love the reliability and functionality of the car. Not expensive to maintain it. It is expensive to fix if not handled properly. Let the right people fix your car. All the accessories on it work great. The VDC (vehicle dynamics control) works great and helps in the braking and steering. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: Drives and rides great; gets pretty good mileage. Goes great in off road and slippery conditions. Looks good with wife in it....(her addition to this). She loves it Cons: the suspensions "squeaks".. |

Very Reliable — I like how smooth it runs, gas expenses are really low for the distances I drive daily. The braking is good, acceleration is average after all it isn't a sports car and it has a small engine. The steering wheel is also very smooth, easy to drive.
Pros:
Very good for outdoor activities. Big Trunk for equipment and also you can put things on the roof of the car. Cons: Probably not the hottest car out there. |
2002 Subaru Outback L.L. Bean Edition WagonReview

Can't Go Wrong With The Llbean Edition — The LLBEAN edition is just the right height so I can reach on top of the car without needing a tall helper to pull my skis down. (Newer models are too big and high) It provides just enough clearance and control so I can drive safely on the snow. It provides enough power to pack it up and haul over the mountain passes. The LLBEAN edition also provides amazing visibility through the back windows, and has power adjustable side mirrors. (They have decreased the window sizes for newer models). The Consumer reports had 'happy circles' for all the aspects of the car, except the electronics. There has been maybe 2 issues with the electronics since buying the car that have changed the functionality. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Have driven this car over 248,000 miles with reliability in conditions of mud and snow. Has provided comfort for groups traveling. Cons: Requires Premium gas for LL Bean Edition |

Would Buy It Again — This vehicle does everything except tow a load. It is a reliable vehicle that has been used hard and has rarely needed repair. I can always fit everything I need to fit into this car (including my dog) for every type of trip necessary and have never wished this car was larger. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: Large interior payload. Easy to drive. Great visibility. Cons: Seats not comfortable for long trips. |
2002 Subaru Outback H6-3.0Review

Great Car For The Fuel Millage And Is Off Road Capible — The car has been great when it comes to quality, it has everything you need and more. Power is good from the 3.0 V6 Horizontal engine and is even better with the AWD. I have never seen it in a car but this one has a power band that kicks in at 4200RPM. I find it very handy due to most cars will lack in power the higher the RPM. The ride comfort is magnificent and the design almost European which makes it brilliant. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)
Pros:
Plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable.
Cons:
Maintenance is high |

Best Car I Have Ever Owned! — I would never get another brand of car again, it is the best car in the snow and rain I have ever driven. I get 27.5 MPG highway and 23 city and it is true balanced all wheel drive. It has over 180,000 miles and still runs like it's brand new and my grandmother had her Subaru Legacy for over 255,000 miles before someone wrecked into her I have heard them running up to 450,000 miles before and that's what I intend to get out of mine. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: I love limited version but overall Subaru makes great cars. Cons: I don't like that mine came with a 4 cylinder it's a little weak when fully loaded with a roof rack but then again it gets great gas mileage. |
