Musculine Front With Sleek Feminine Rear — maintenance cost is incredibly high and overheating is a major prob. once fixed, you are free to cruise around town. a Chrysler PT cruiser is a car that needs to be driven at least once in any driver's life time

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: aesthetically appealing. nice for a date pickup.
sounds are perfect for  2002 class

Cons: not fuel efficient,

Good First Car — The PT Cruiser is my first car. I wasn't exactly thrilled to be receiving it at first because it was my mom's old car and she described it as "cute". When I did get the car, I got used to it and I actually liked the retro look it had. When it came to winter driving, it wasn't the best at first. That was partially due to the fact that it was my first winter, and I didn't know how to handle the car in snow and ice. The fact that there wasn't ABS didn't help, either. Despite that, I actually learned how to control the car and to brake sooner, which gave way to better driving habits. In general, it is a good car for a first-time driver.

Pros: Good fuel economy, radio isn't bad. A good commuter car for going to work.

Cons: The PT Cruiser is not the best on reliability. The brakes have fouled up several times, the water pump had to be replaced, the suspension has to be replaced and ABS isn't standard.

Fun & Practical — Bought my 2002 for $21k in Jan 2003 and enjoyed it for ten trouble free years and 104k miles. Only major repair was for cooling fan that seems to blow its fuse whenever the battery is changed out. I painted the bottom half to make mine a two-tone which it seemed designed for. Loved this car and held onto it long after I could afford something a little more high end. Was the go-to car for lunch because it could comfortably seat five while my colleagues Mercedes' could only seat four. Rear cargo space was a big help through two moves and many Craig's List finds. Finally broke down and replaced it with a used 2006 Lexus SC 430. I like cars with a little pizzaz.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Fun litte car. Can sport two-tones or flames and turn a lot of heads. Reliable. Seats 5 comfortably. Sits high for good views in traffic.  Easy to get in and out of. Seats fold down to create amble cargo space. Can haul a surprising amount of stuff including all but the biggest pieces of furniture. It is like a small SUV.

Cons: Small turning radius.  Old model bumpers bleached out and needed to be repainted.

Great Car For Work, Family, Vacations. Has It All. — Car has it all. Not just a family car, but great for vacations, shopping. Going to work, going to Church, going out on the town. It fits right in everywhere. Cross between a car, a van, and a truck. Great Car.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Lots of room.   Looks good.  Good mileage.  Very reliable.  Very low maintenance cost. Excellent value.

Cons: Nothing that I can think of.

My Favorite Car. — I love the look of this car. I wish Chrysler hadn't stop making them. When I need to replace it I'm going to look for one of the same of the last year they were made. Mine is purple, I would like to get a green one next.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: The cargo capacity is terrific.  I've had two pygmy goats in the back.  I've had a love seat back there when the seats were folded up.  And I've had two 6' x 30" windows in there too!

Cons: The tires are the kind that look low all the time.  I've had many people tell me I need air in them when I really don't.  The gas mileage could have been better (24 mph) around town.

All Around Well Car But Should Be Built Better — dont like the constent problems i have but i love the ride and feel the car has and for a small car it has alot of interior space it is overall a quick car but it does have a very weak engine.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: interior space, quick, handles well

Cons: breaks down alot, to many repairs

Great Little Car About Town And Then Some! — Acceleration is sluggish, but handling, braking and ride are good. It is surprisingly roomy and is a good vehicle for road trips. $2500 in repairs (suspension and cooling system) at about 80K miles. Low maintenance, but not good gas mileage, as it is a bit underpowered. Fun to drive!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Low maintenance, reliable, sporty and fun to drive.

Cons: Poor gas mileage, underpowered.

I Reccomend The Pt Cruiser As A Good Family Vehicle.. I Love It!! — I love my cruiser it gets me from point A to point B, and its a good family car, and good on gas. I love how there are different trunk options and my seats all fold down in the back anyway I want them!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: bc its a good family car/ gas saver

Cons: The horn isn't loud enough, and it's hard to check my blind spots
