Hello everyone. So I have an opportunity to purchase a truck I’ve been drooling over for 10 years. (Was a family member’s car and they weren’t going to part with it.) It is a Chevy S10. Has the 2.2, automatic, and is a step side extended cab. Here is the kicker, it only as 21,000 original miles on it. Nothing replaced, taken care of to include routing maintenance. They are asking $5k. Good deal or pass up?
I just put in a new battery, but I only drove it like eight miles. Then it wouldn't pass smog! How many miles do I have to drive before I try again???
I have a 02 S10 that was sitting for close to 2 and half years, i took it to get the transmission rebuilt because it was bad. But now im having the problem that the struck starts off in third and wont change gears. ive heard its in limp mode. the mechanic that rebuild the transmission said it is the key switch assembly! But i dont want to just spend money on random parts and that not be the issue. Any help? could he be right about the switch?
